given that at least one of the enemies has somewhere between 40 and 59 dex, it makes a huge difference. look at the damage, so far only one of her attacks wasnt a crit. it has an incredible effect, especially if the enemy even gains a free attack (not even at a penalty) on criting the dodge roll

Of course she's getting crits like crazy. Most people only have 20 points for their highest stat, so she's running around with 3 times as much DEX. For a bunch of people who saved the world, Maria et. all have really terrible stats, honestly.

It's less what you've said, and more "New characters are just as powerful as them". For world-saving badasses they're kinda on the weak side, honestly.
