well, I have at least seen one character who takes halved damage from physical attacks, it would be foolish to think that we wont run into enemies similarly resilient, or worse, immune. Not having at least a magical side arm would be neglient

Yeah, that's a good idea. Not entirely sure how laser weaponry counts as a magical attack though.

Laser weaponry doesn't count as physical. And the physical resilience is a Persona skill, so it at least gives you reassurance that only a few people will be lugging it around; that particular passive, at any rate.
