I'm planning on divorcing Personae entirely from the MAG stat and moving them into the MIND stat, making their resist stat MIND as well.

Also magic shields will and do wear down, meanwhile having the resistance and the halved damage is a passive that you don't expend mana on.

Well, unless they happen to be immune to wind. Also another thing that I though of. Presumably Kyle is now extra weak to the element Merlin is weak to now so he now lacks his previous protection in the form of magic and he now take extra damage from something. I'm starting to think I got a slight bit screwed with this whole thing.

To be honest I'm thinking of instituting resistance and affinity for everyone it's applicable to.

You know, I can think of a few things that having actual magic would be useful for. I could just make air walls that tell me where there are dead ends.
