By the way, I have many questions. Some of them, like where the manticores came from, why they're tearing up the school campus, and why they chose manticores will probably be answered later, but not ones like why school wasn't called on account of manticores or where everyone else who could help (like police or the other magic folks supposedly in Northdale) are.

Doesn't she focus on humanoids?
...Did anyone IRL ever even think of meridian lines for non-humanoids?

And let's face it, manticores are magical creatures. The scorpion tail and the wings heavily suggest that there isn't any reason to believe they have internal anatomy significantly paralleling that of mundane creatures.
