And if you all think about it, the characters we wish to main now would end up being just those who were also captured in attempts to fight back. ICARUS would be maybe shut down somewhere as we escape, Sen trapped in a circle.

Well, the way that they're wording it, the players have been in a simulation this entire time. That means all of my characters basically go back to their raw selves whenever they were originally made.
