I thought we established that the time stream of Void is at least pretty damn flexible. There are probably limits on where you start and end on the Creation side, but it seems to me like within Void itself time is a very fuzzy thing. In other words, it follows plot.

This means something caused Ashley to think she was trapped in the void for 10 years. It could have been her getting 'killed'. It could have been her not wanting to return, or it could simply have been @Project and @Rag, wanting to introduce a new character which means we will never get a good explaination.

We don't know. Ashley is technically immortal so she could have probably returned a day later. The Nodoka being born only happened after Ashley died. So Who knows.
