Toady's generally opposed to selling DF merchandise. He much prefers the direct donation. It's not like he'd object, though (probably), if you decided to sell them for your own profit and decided to give all that profit to Toady. Just don't expect his support in any way.

Yeah I do recall that being mentioned at one point - hence my hesitancy. I think I'd need Toady's permission to use the dwarf icon in any case. I'll ask him about it. I'd totally be up to making some of these, and selling them for $5. That should be just enough to cover operating, material, and shipping costs, and if I do end up making any profit with the change, that'd go to the master. It wouldn't be for-profit merchandising, really.

That kind of dwarf icon is just ASCII, i believe. Its only the ones with the beards that Toady One made, so it shouldn't actually be an issue.

Shot an email to Tarn, just in case he has any objections. If he doesn't, I'll start rummaging through my scrap acrylic pile and see what colors I can come up with.

The one I made is 1x1.25in. It's kinda on the big side. I think .75x1in is what I'm going to run the rest at.
