Neck pain when at friends.
« on: August 18, 2013, 03:43:45 am »

Now, I'd ask elsewhere but like the dog question the problem is that the problem is too common for searches to really work.

I've been getting some pain in the neck when I am at my friend's house which I assume is caused by constantly looking down all the time.

This pain feels centralized between my skull and neck yet only on my left side.

I think it is normal and will probably go away eventually, especially if I make sure not to sit or stand oddly, but I just want to make sure.

It actually is a lot more distracting then painful... I used to get headaches all the time at my friend's too.

Do you get much water at your friend's house? You may be surprised what dehydration can do.

Not really... mostly because I don't drink a lot of tap water.

Based on reading only the title: have you considered that your friend may be a vampire?

And that he drinks spinal fluid?

Neck pain is fairly standard for stress, anxiety, uncomfortable positions, or lack of exercise. If you have someone that's willing to give you a (good) neck rub you can see if it's just your muscles pretty easily.

Try doing some simple neck exercises in your spare time. Roll your head around, turn your head back and forth, and bow your head slowly. Stretch your neck, too. Don't go crazy or anything. You're doing it too fast or too much if you get dizzy, lightheaded, or if your neck breaks cracks. Popping your back and neck may also make things worse if you have a habit of doing that.
