Quest for Minimalism
You are in the town of Gilfell, looking for loot and adventure, protecting the common folk from the vile monsters that roam the world. You and your party are confronted by an elderly woman, her face distraught, who pleads for you to rescue her son and his comrades who have been taken by kobolds! She offers to reward the entire party 200 gold, and a blessed dagger for the party leader.
How to join:Post your name and pick a class from below. Start a party or join an existing one. Parties will be able to fight each other and compete for quests. Quests cannot be done twice.
Parties:Parties are groups of adventurers who band together to mutually earn gold and gain loot. There are no limits on how many can join a party; all the rules shall be enforced by the party leader. He decides how loot is divided, what quests to go on, and who does what.
Rules:Basic RtD chart:
1-Causes more problems.
2-Failure.
3-Neutral.
4-Slight success.
5-Success!
6-Overshot; ie. does the job but has bad side-effects.
When your character dies, you die. No respawn. You must submit a new character, with fresh abilities and no EXP nor gold. Special items may be used to revive teammates. When a character in a party dies, their loot is divided among the party. When you make a new character, you are not allowed to ask your "old" teammates to give them back without good RP reasons.
Items require you to be of a certain level, or a certain class. Levels are gained from EXP, which is granted by slaying monsters and finishing quests, or even good RP. There is a certain marker which you need to attain the needed amount of EXP, then you level up, gaining an additional 5 HP and 1 skill point. These may be used at trainers to learn skills.
Skills are combat or combat support techniques that aid you. They can be learned from trainers, or doing super-cool things by accident or on purpose.
Spells are cast with Spell Points. These can be regained from an altar. Another way to cast spells is to use a tablet of the correct elements. These are one use only, but are generally common.
