The font is the most likely issue.

I've seen this happen occasionally on Chrome on Win7, and it was the norm on android chrome when I tried that a while ago.

Sorry if anybody has already talked about this, but me and my friend are having severe trouble playing on a floor with a lot of sand.
I wonder if you could somehow make all of the ASCII the same size and not have some boxes be different sizes than others?

Yes, the font is most likely the issue. Dfterm3 bundles with the Cootue Curses Square TTF font that I once asked from the author if I can bundle it.

Since I cannot promise a release any time soon, I'll instead tell you how to replace the font.

On the server, if you go to the place where Dfterm3 is installed, you should see 'web-interface' directory, under which you will find 'resources' directory. I think the quickest and laziest way is to replace the 'cootue_curses_square_16x16.ttf' file in this directory with one of your own TTF fonts (as in, overwrite this file with another font).

Back in the days of the first Dfterm (that was over 4 year ago??) Elvang compiled a set of TTF fonts for use with Dfterm. These should still work: http://dffd.wimbli.com/file.php?id=1922. I don't know if anyone has compiled a more up-to-date TTF set.

I have replaced said file with the Mayday tile font, but I was still having the same problem. I checked in LNP to see what was going on and then I saw this.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Then I tried replacing my actual DF's fonts, and found that 12x12 fonts do seem to fix my problems, and even though now the server and my DF don't have the same texture pack,
but the jagged edges are gone.

Thanks Adeon :)

Can you use tilesets with dfterm? Someone told me it only works with ASCII.

No, but you can change the font the server uses (somewhere in web-interface/resources, I believe). The main reason for this is that ASCII data is much easier to obtain and send over the network than complete tileset data, which can vary a lot depending on the tileset being used.

I downloaded the server .exe and installed it before getting the standalone plugin for DFHack which I put into my Masterwork folder. Unfortunately when I run the game it doesn't seem to notice the fact the .dll is there in the plugin folder and if I type enable it doesn't show up on that list either. What'd I do wrong?

You might be using the r3 version of the plugin with r4. Check near the beginning of the console for messages like "could not load plugin: dfterm3.dll".

I tried but it scrolls by in like seconds and after it's done loading I can't scroll back to see anything because it like wipes all the text or something.
---
Also I do have the r4 of DFHack so I guess I'm out of luck using it for now.

Possible solution (for the console problem): open dfhack.init and comment out any occurrences of "cls" by adding a # to the beginning of the line. This might help you see the actual error message.
From a glance, it looks like there's only a r3 version of the plugin for Windows, but I think there may have been a r4 version posted somewhere in this thread.

A couple pages back someone mentioned a compiled version working with r4 but I can't find any actual link for it.

How hard would it be to have it stream a tileset?
