Issue here.

Putnam's server, I push Vanilla and DF loads up. And that's it, no response to keys or anything.
Opera 12.16 on WinXP.

Login first. I think i've made a mistake of not telling or giving any kind of hint you have to do that before you can play.

Assuming you did actually login and that screenshot is lying, you could be hitting this issue.

For reference, logged in, tested on Firefox also - same results.

(Non-related) development update: I've managed to get native DF tilesets to work with JavaScript, so I'll add that once I can get the dfhack plugin built on Linux (if anyone can provide a built plugin, that would be much appreciated :) ).
Graphics sets aren't supported yet, mainly due to their size (they'd need to be loaded from the server, which would increase page load time drastically). Hopefully I can get transparency working soon, since it seems to be in a lot of tilesets, although I'd have to figure out the composition algorithms DF uses and get them working in JS...

DFHack - Dwarf Manipulator (Lua) - DF Wiki talk

There was a typo in the siegers' campfire code. When the fires went out, so did the game.

I've got the same problem. I can log in, and then use chat, but nothing ever happens when I use the arrow or number keys, I can't change what the screen says or anything.
The enter key doesn't work on the terminal either.

Of course chat works perfectly, but since whenever I try there's no-one else playing (or it says there isn't - this might be another bug), I can't actually confirm that.

This was when trying on Firefox. Gonna try Chrome next. Then IE. Don't have Safari to try, or Opera.

Edit: Nope, chrome doesn't help either.
Edit2: Internet Explorer fails to load anything at all, no interface, no game-type, no login, no connecting to dfterm3 message, etc. So obviously that doesn't help. ;)

I have 4 copies of Masterwork open right now.

That's definitely manageable, but...

...something I need to fix. I might need to rework the model how Dfterm3 operates with Dwarf Fortresses.

Somewhat embarrassingly, I noticed my "fix" in the Dfhack Dfterm3 plugin could not have possibly fixed anything about disconnections. I've made a new fix but this is not in the binaries yet.

Man, this is nigh-unplayable now. Even by Dwarf Fortress standards. The keys get muffled, lost and misinterpreted most of the time. Getting on web interface is surely a big step forward, give you that, but come on, I can't play this at all anymore! And I seem to be one of the few people actually still interested in playing this. Wouldn't be resuming putty a reasonable thing to do until Dfterm3 gets, you know, more reliable somewhat?

One of my biggest fears at the start was that I would not be able to get rid of enough lag to make it pleasant to play. There are some features coming that may help (canvas-based interface and Telnet interface) but I'll only know once prototypes are ready.

Unzip the Dfterm3 zip file somewhere. Run cmd.exe, go to the Dfterm3 directory and run the following command:
Code: [Select]
dfterm3.exe --admin-password
Enter the administrator password you want to use. You will need this password to configure Dwarf Fortresses. Note that the password is not echoed; that is, you will not see the password being typed or the **** characters. Don't worry, your password is still there.

Hi there,

I just registered to show my support for your project. I'm not a really great coder, but I'll take a look and see if I can help somehow..

Regards,
