Dreamworld abilities were introduced in Gen V. They're just regular abilities but specimens of pokemon that have the dreamworld ability of their species can only be found in either the dreamworld internet thing, or in secret grottoes in the games

I don't get it. What are dreamworld abilties?

Can we use them?
All the ones I tried are auto blocked in OU

You were planning to have a 15 year old magical girl kill Witches by drinking them under the table!? It's original, at least.

You might have been unlucky? Not all the dream world abilities have been released. Do you have screenshots of the errors?

... well my gosh. Several hours later and I have assembled my team for another tourney. A bit to read up on, and a little on seeing a few more pokemon I was liking.
Ended up only having one NU tiered pokemon... instead of 3 XD. As I say, I went with what I liked and how they fit in my style, so I expect losses.

[EDIT: ''A bit to read up on, and a little on seeing a few more pokemon I was liking.'' Did that even make any sense? Jeez... I'm an idiot. Took longer because I was reading up a bit and I was also spotting new pokemon I was liking. That's what it SHOULDA said...]

Just one question, what's wrong with using Shell Bell Aron?  It's made completely irrelevant by spikes, stealth rock, hail, mold breaker, knock off, taunt, encore, burn, sleep, and multi-hit moves.

And finally finished, truly, with my set.

Should be good.

Watch out folks, once Barbarossa enters, it's all over. He's a Pokemon Master.

I just figured out Akroma's biggest weakness.

She has no Spinblocker.

... I am a little gutted that my age old favourite, Butterfree's almost impossible to fit in unless I am aiming to get completely smashed...

Time to be adaptable I think.

Butterfree is a passable sweeper in NU.

That's a full three tiers below the tier we're doing this tournament in :P
4x SR weakness, shitty defenses, not too crash hot offenses.

Only thing it's got going for it is Tinted Lens + Quiver Dance + Bug Buzz.

I'm back.

However, I'm unable to access my computer until tommorow, so my battle will probably then. Unless the site is accessible and works by tablet. :P

Dreamworld abilities are fine, as long as they don't boost evasion in weather. An exception is the ability *moody* (is that even dreamworld?) which raises a random stat by 2 every turn, while lowering a random stat by one. as far as I know its banned on OU, though I am not entirely sure why

very explicit banned combinations are Blaziken with the ability speed-boost, which raises it into ubers, or the combination of the ability drizzle together with pokemon with the ability swift swim (which basicaly makes rain teams nearly unstoppable)

shellbell aron can indeed be countered, however bay12 is not a competetive scene, and most people will not know how to deal with it, nor will they have teams to equipped to deal with it.

Reudh, Barbarossa TSG, ICBM pilot:

you do not have to wait for the next one, there is already a second tournament (random monotype) in planning. just ask to be in, and at the same time give a vote for the type akroma should be playing. we currently nonly have 6 people signed up for the monotype tourney, and given how many types there are, that's just sad. So many good types that wont see the light of day. please join, for diversities sake.

Current votes for Akroma's team: electric x1, normal x2, bug x2
