[Mini-RTD] Little Gods RTD: Morukon's Gateway [...?!]

It's that time again! I need test subjects for a short-lived, ill-advised god game. Also, limitless players! There is absolutely no way this can go wrong.

Currently, there is only one tile: Morukon's Gateway, a well-manicured grassland garden-type area with a peculiar glowing dias in the center. It also houses Morukon- deities needn't exist in any particular tile, but Morukon chooses to.

World Information

-Current Map-

Unless otherwise specified, it can be assumed that unlisted tiles in between other tiles are rough mixtures or transitions of the two.

-Key-

Orange
Quote from: Tile
Fields of Brown
Dry/Flat/Temperate
Base: Wheat (+1 Trade)
Additional Components: None, None

A broad expanse of flat plains known for its quickly-cycling grass.
Quote from: Component
Wheat
+1 Trade
Dry/Not Rocky/Not Cold

A short grass that dies out after blooming. While not much for food, the convenient source of fodder and ground coverings make trade and transport easier, at least.

Yellow Orange Stripes
Quote from: tile
The Bakery
Seasonal/Flat/Hot
Base: Cupcakeling (+1 to Food)
Additional Components: None, None

A vast, hot plains where the first stage of cake, cupcakelings, are hunted young or mature into larger cakelings. The heat is required for them to be baked into life and fully grow.
Quote from: Component
Cupcakeling
Seasonal/Not Rocky/Not Cold

A small sentient cupcake, about the size of a fist. They do not fill your stomach a lot alone, so they are herded into large packs of about 30 or 40. They mature into cakelings from nine months to a whole year.

Green
Quote from: Tile
Blossoming Forest
Dry/Rolling/Hot
Base: Star Apple Trees (+1 Food)
Additional Components: Humming Martens (+1 Production), None

A somewhat sparse forest of fruit trees, including the world-famous Star Apple. The year long growing cycle causes the trees to continually bloom and flower, though the purple flowers are rather small.
Quote from: Component
Star Apple Trees
Dry/Not Rocky/Hot
+1 Food

A special fruit tree which produces moderately tasty, if a bit tart, fruit year-round.
Quote from: Component
Humming Marten
Dry/Not Rocky/Hot/Presence of Star Apple Trees
+1 Production

Badgerlike creatures the size of a small dog (though much lower to the ground, of course). They're incredibly stubborn and not very bright, but their hides are remarkably tough and supple due to their constant diet of star apples.

White
Quote from: Tile
The Frosting Northlands
Wet/Flat/Cold
Base: Cakelings (+1 to Food)
Additional Components: None, None

The cold regions of Tzhiezcake's domain. It is where near-mature cupcakelings cool and grow into cakelings. They are toughened by the cold and the natural dangers of storms and blizzards. They are fed by the frosting snow. Cakelings are much larger than cupcakelings and are generally more aggressive.
Quote from: Component
Cakelings
Cold/Not Rocky/Not Hot
+1 to Food

Cakelings are larger and more aggressive than cupcakelings, and are often hunted by adventurous bakerlings who seek to prove themselves to Tzhiezcake and their tribes.
Quote from: City
Gingerbread City
Bakerling City
A ranching and mercantile community, where wealth and ownership are held in high regard. They herd cakelings for food and profit.

The Gingerbread City is made of gingerbread, coated with frosting, and inhabited by bakerlings. These particular bakerlings are far more patient and purposeful than bakerlings in hotter areas.

Purple Things
Quote from: Tribe

Bakerlings
-Cunning, mischevious
-Small, weak, cowardly
-Sadistic, aimless

Bakerlings are impish creatures a quarter the size of a man. They're mischevious and cunning, with far more interest in terrorizing the cupcakelings than herding them. They'll also eat them out of necessity, but aren't really fond of sweets.

White Things
Quote from: Tribe
The Murmuring Folk
-Masters of songcraft, poor farmers
-Stubborn and single-minded, for good or ill
-Egalitarian society, disrespect for nature

The first of the Murmuring Folk arose from Humming Martens of the Blossoming Forest, and they share many similarities with their ancestors. Their hands are more developed for manipulating items, and they have the ability to stand on their hind legs (though they often go on all fours for speed.) They are also a bit larger than their Humming Marten ancestors, and they have fur that tends toward white or gold coloration.

They're also a bit rural. Specifically, they're known for colorful songs using crude instruments, mostly banjos. They spend most of their non-banjo time making and drinking star apple cider. They tend to be a bit stubborn, but not quite so much as their ancestors.

Holo trots across the Fields of Gold. Or rather, the prickly Fields of Brown. The wheat crop is not nearly so delicious as she had hoped; the land is too hot, and the grass makes better straw than grain. Perhaps some other creature will find a use for it, but for now, Holo sets off for new horizons. She is still hungry, and worse than that, she is becoming bored.

Create Tile West of Morukon's Gateway

Quote from: Tile
Blossoming Forest
Seasonal/Rolling/Hot

Quote from: Component
Humming Stoats
Seasonal/Not Rocky/Hot/Presence of Star Apple Trees
+1 Trade

A fuzzy, social herbivore the size of a cat with beady little eyes and cute little people hands which communicates in a series of melodious hums. They feast exclusively on Star Apples, giving their coat a uniquely lustrous sheen and making their pelt smell faintly of cider. This combination makes their hide the ultimate fashion accessory; fortunately, the Humming Stoats are extremely quick and elusive, combining the agility of a squirrel with the speed of a rabbit and the guile of a fox.

Holo strides through the Blossoming Forest, the trees stunted and sparse, the grass short and hardy. An arid breeze sends a shower of purple petals to the forest floor.

"Why is everything so dry? Maybe I should have made water when creating this land..." Holo muses, casually nipping a small Star Apple off of a nearby tree. "Hm. Not bad. Not big enough, or sweet enough, but at least it turned out better than the wheat. Now to see what manner of creature would eat these..."

Holo stalks the Blossoming Forest, following the distinctive irritable hum of the Humming Martens. Rather like a swarm of disgruntled bees, she reflects. Soon, she catches sight of her target; a small group of the Martens shakes a Star Apple tree, eating the fruit as it falls. With a howl, she charges in.

Several of the Martens scatter, but the pair directly in her path charge the great wolf. One is swatted aside by a massive paw, but the other sinks its short teeth into Holo's leg, hanging on tenaciously. Unpained by the inoffensive creature, Holo shakes her leg to loose the Marten. And shakes, and shakes, and shakes...

A solid hour of shaking, snapping, and rolling later, the Humming Marten stubbornly refuses to relinquish its bite, its fellows cautiously returning to the Star Apple tree. Holo regards the fuzzy little simpleton with bemusement.

"Foolish creature! Do you even know whose leg you are gnawing on? I am Holo, the Wise Wolf! I am the predator, and you are the prey!"

The Humming Marten chews, gathering another small tuft of fur into its mouth.

"Fool." Holo says affectionately. "Perhaps I should grant you some perspective on your chosen course of action."

Grant sapience to the tribe of Humming Martens in the Blossoming Forest

The Murmuring Folk are known for their beautiful songs which form a cornerstone of their culture as well as the just, caring way they govern themselves. However, they are also known to never admit their own wrongs, a trait which often leads to violent, protracted inter-tribal conflicts over trivial matters. The Murmuring Folk dislike their bestial heritage, and ignore their connections to the natural world.

However, they are also known to never admit their own wrongs, a trait which often leads to violent, protracted inter-tribal conflicts over trivial matters. The Murmuring Folk dislike their bestial heritage, and ignore their connections to the natural world.

[2] The Murmuring Folk turn out considerably more... rural than you intended. Specifically, they're known for colorful songs using crude instruments, mostly banjos. They spend most of their non-banjo time making and drinking star apple cider. They tend to be a bit stubborn, but not quite so much as their ancestors.
