Well... Lets check out that right angle.. The white one. Then the brownone, then the brown thing then the *s that I assume are not rocks.
The right angles are the guillotine traps, the brown one being the rusted, but still wicked-looking one. The *s are tiles, ornate like the ones from the scythe trap room and a later one, but not quite so ornate. You think about the difference, and believe the ones in the scythe room might have a gold inlay, or maybe just a golden-colored inlay.

Inspect the rusted trap, and see if it still works. Preferably without using the guillotine for it's intended purpose.

Traps are notoriously hard to appraise, and you are really not certain whether it is in bad repair, or is just meant to look that way. You suspect you might not now unless you do activate it somehow. Instead, you take a look at the worn bag. It basically disintegrates under your touch, revealing a coat, a potion of night's rest, two small jars with some kind of balm, and a golden figurine of a hydra.

((It took me a few seconds to realize that "goat" was a typo.))

Ah hell. And I dont even have a really good excuse...

-1 to sacrificing the balm, we may want it more than the potion. Meanwhile, the potions are sorta just... candy.

You go through the northern door, and find several small shimmering worm-like creatures crawling through a statue-filled room. A woman clad in a green robe and wielding a staff calls out to you "Some help, perhaps, swordsman?"

You move over to the nearest worm and slash at it, missing. And you've got not a salt, just assault. "I'll take that as a yes. They're not tough, but they are annoying, and I'm getting pretty drained. I'm Kinne Orabet, by the way."
Kinne moves over to the worm nearest to her and crushes it with her quarterstaff. "Illusionist trapper."

The three surviving worms move away from you, and their shimmering concentrates into rays of light hurtling at you and Kinne. One shot stings you, one misses Kinne, and the final one hits her

You stride towards the shimmer worm, but again it evades you! Kinne hits the worm she was attacking, and again manages to kill it. "Either I'm lucky or you're unlucky. I'm hardly a good fighter", she says.

The worm you've been trying to squash shoots a ray of light against you, searing into your chest, while the final one misses Kinne.
