The Shifter creates clockwork creatures, powered by mutergy with a small piece of Celestial Iron for a heart, and placing them upon one of Its' islands. They come in various forms, each unique.

I have started working on the update.  It looks like this will be the end of Chapter 1.  I will need to write a wall of text to end off the chapter nicely, and also make a post to introduce the objectives of Chapter 2.

Meanwhile, I'd like to keep the players involved in the game, so I propose an interlude between chapters.  During the interlude you will not be posting actions, and I won't be rolling dice (since I'm writing walls of text). You will however be making a post, the details of which will be declared as soon as I post the turn results.

tl;dr NB: Please don't post actions until I start Chapter 2.

I will update the map next, since this is necessary for the interlude.

For the interlude, we fast forward about 100 turns, and I will assign each of you an area to write a few paragraphs about.  You get to tell us what that area is like after you have worked on it: topography, climate, biome, special stuff, and if you wish, a sapient race's first steps.  The interlude writing is optional, of course.  It's just to give you something fun to do while I write the chapter transition stuff.  Don't post it yet, though, just write it.

The next chapter will be about the gods' influence on the sapients as they develop to pre-industrial fantasy civilizations.

I think there will probably be questions.  PM me if you want.

EDIT:  With "first steps" I mean that they are in the stone age.  If they have magic, it should also be primitive: herb-lore, prayer, speaking to the dead, breathing fire or similar.  If you are uncertain whether your sapients are OP or something, just ask me.

If Esk's attention doesn't shift, I have a great idea of what kind she'll be cultivating.... both on purpose and also by 'purposeful accident', neglectful, inattentive 'blind' luck she is...  Allsorts of telepathic to each other, vegetatively crabby folk on the upper hand, and...  A remarkably advanced remarkably powered remarkably small type of (soon to be) sentient life on the underhand!
