Before we move it anywhere, do we have any prospecting tools? Don't want to waste time and power making it wander around until it finds something.

Even just random stone will help us out some.

I suggest calling those things in the woods "Asymmetric Bairogs". Because they look like they have asymmetrical heads and kinda remind me of bears.

Huh. There are things in the woods.

I'd prefer something like Asymursines, which is basically the same thing but sciencier-sounding.

If they come close we have rifles, and being non-biological their perceived threat to animals should be much lower.

Turn 3
The Colony: (you might want to just follow this link instead since it's a big image: http://i.imgur.com/V7p9seI.png )

Spoiler (click to show/hide)
Power: 50/50(+20/-2)
The bots identify three large creatures in the vegetation and move closer together in case of an attack, moving forward slowly.

You get the mining rig to start digging a ditch around your equipment making sure all the dirt that is removed is piled into a crude wall. You decide to use the oil rig to find out how deep the water table is at the base. It has drilled a few meters down and hasn't hit any actual water yet but the moisture content of the rock and soil is rapidly rising the deeper it goes.

You have B&B research a small pump and finding out if the bulb has any usable properties. Later on you'll get them to do some AI research and start reverse-engineering all of your tech.

You also connect your headset to the communications array and see if anyone wants to chat. You can relay a signal back to the core-worlds and purchase items from anyone still willing to sell to you (Link to the list is listed in the Glossary Posts) This will cost you 500 credits to pay for transport though. There are a lot of active coms arrays on the planet and a few of them are within walking distance (judging by signal strength). Only a few of these are broadcasting anything that isn't encrypted

Signals:
Name:Broadcast Contents:
UnnamedEncrypted
Station 501aEncrypted
UnnamedA short distress signal on a loop. It doesn't say much except for requesting assistance and listing coordinates. The location is to your north east (Location added to map)
ROD'S DIGSA tough sounding man claiming to have lots of ore to sell and nobody to sell it to.
Reed Labs Station 7A short video explaining that Reed Labs is devoted to researching the history of the native population.

You can try and contact any of these people if you want.

You pick your perk:
Technicaly: You used to be the head of a mega-corp specializing in weapons, you designed a few of them yourself and know a quite a lot about them.

Try to use the bulb, preferably crushed for a bit, as a bait.
Talk with Rod's rig.
Business ad usual otherwise.

Have the robots back off, we don't need conflicts now.

Aand, what is that robot on the left doing? Chopping trees?

Yes, yes he is.

How far away is that SOS? I'd be tempted to send a team to have a look.

We need the bulb for analysis

Well, I vote we broadcast a little sale's message of our own. We got quite a lot of excess power we can sell, after all. Also broadcast a request to see if anyone's selling maps of our area.

Anyway, we might try to see if we can get our drill installation to dig deeper. Maybe there's natural gas or oil to extract. You never know. It's not doing anything else right now, after all. Maybe, if we're lucky there's shale gas down here, depending on how long this lake has been here.

I am tempted to send a fireteam out with a robot to check out that beacon, but only if its less than 20 miles away.
Other than that, B&B the bulb, for a perk howabout something to do with researching weapons?

Hey, now that technicaly was chosen, can the avatar do reverse engineer on our weapons?

Name our colony "Reardenberg" after our illustrious self.

The right most Bairog is still upright, what's up with that? Is there something usual about that one?

Request info on the natives from Reed Labs Station 7

Have B&B continue their research. Hank should get down to making blueprints of the weapons he remembers.

As others have noted we should investigate the S.O.S but only if it is within a half day's travel or so from Reardenberg.

Have the robots back off, we don't need conflicts now.

Have one team return to base and take a defensive stance facing the Bairogs. We don't want a fight but we need to let them know we aren't easy pickings.
