OK.

The oil rig can start pumping, if it has an internal storage. If possible, the robots can also start refining  a small amount into plastic.

The now free science clone should quickly develop a plastic container system, that can be used for oil, water, cement and whatever else we want to stuff away and move around.

Yes. I also suggest we get the miner to dig a pit that can be lined with concrete and can hold liquids.

Or... anyway we need storage real soon.

Yep and we can always use this to hold some oil for now.

The robot gathering vegetation to study cannot see any unique plant-life in the area.

Author Note: If you want to ask Rod anything say so and I'll do a communications update.

Offer rod an energy recharge. Ask about his problems with the natives

Also exchange news of the outside universe for a bit more knowledge of the area.
Overall, be friendly. Don't push it, small talk is acceptable, etc.

We should also start work on a bot and some spare mags.

"THANKS FOR THE CASH, ORES ALL YOURS NOW."

"If you could unload it off near the smelter that would be helpful. If you want you can unplug the loomery and recharge your truck while you are over there."

"I THINK I WILL DO THAT, THANKS. YOU ARE NEW TO THE PLANET AREN'T YOU?"

"Yes I am, arrived this morning in fact. I've just been setting up my equipment and trying to get some info on the area. I don't really know much about this planet, coming here wasn't necessarily my choice."

"NOT YOUR CHOICE? GET EXILED OR SOMETHING?"

"Kind of, I wasn't officially exiled, it's just that as of recent events I have enemies in very high places."

"ENEMIES EH, WHAT ARE WE TALKIN' HERE, CRIME LORD, PIRATE, CORPORATE, ROYALTY? I DON'T WANT TO PRY, JUST WANT TO MAKE SURE I JUST WANT TO KNOW IF IT IS SAFE TO DO BUSINESS WITH YOU."

"Well it's my sister, so she'd probably just kill me and not waste any time with you."

"HUNTED BY YOUR SISTER? THAT'S ROUGH. ANYTHING I CAN DO TO HELP YOU OUT?"

"If you want you can tell me what's going on on the planet. I'll tell you recent events in the rest of the galaxy if you haven't heard of them."

"SOUNDS FAIR, ALRIGHT. WELL I DON'T REALLY WANT TO GIVE YOU A HISTORY LESSON SO I'LL JUST STICK TO THE RECENT STUFF. RECENTLY THE NATIVES IN FARHAVEN, THAT'S THE CITY TO THE NORTH WEST, HAVE GOTTEN UPPITY. THEY ARE MIGRATING OUT AND GOING BACK TO THEIR OLD TRIBAL WAYS. OF COURSE BY 'TRIBAL WAYS' THEY MEAN THAT THEY DON'T HAVE ANY ISSUE WITH KILLING US WITH STOLEN LASER RIFLES AND TAKING OUR STUFF. WHAT'S WORSE IS THAT UNICORP PULLED OUT LAST MONTH. THEY MOVED ALL THEIR HEAVY EQUIPMENT OFF WORLD BUT LEFT A LOT OF THEIR SHIT BEHIND, BASICALLY CLONES AND GUNS. SO WE'VE GOT A BUNCH OF ROGUE CLONES AND NATIVES IN THE FOREST WITH WEAPONS, AND OUT FOR BLOOD. IT'S GOING TO BE ROUGH FOR A WHILE.

WHAT'S IT LIKE IN THE REST OF THE GALAXY?"

"Well there are a few revolts going in progress on the near-earth colonies. Last I heard Mars was close to revolution, apparently Mars Corporate was mistreating a bunch of people and they had enough. Earth was siding with the people so if you have any shares with MC i'd say sell them now. Apart from that everything is pretty quiet, apart from the usual corporate disputes over colonization rights."

"I THOUGHT AS MUCH, THOSE CORE WORLD ARE ALWAYS GOING TO SHIT OVER SOMETHING, THAT'S WHY I MOVED OUT HERE, FOR ALL THE GOOD IT DID ME. WHAT ARE YOU DOING  OUT HERE ANYWAY, FOR BUSINESS I MEAN."

"Not quite, I was thinking I'd do some mercenary work. Private security and such. I might sell some goods on the side though, I have experience as an arms dealer so it's nothing new to me."

"SECURITY EH? MAYBE WE CAN WORK OUT A DEAL ONCE YOU GET SETTLED."

"I was thinking that might be on the cards. Tell me about your problems with the natives."

"WELL, THERE ARE A BUNCH OF TRIBALS HANGING AROUND MY DIG SITE. WHENEVER I GO OUT TO ASK EM WHAT THEY WANT THEY RUN OFF INTO THE FOREST. IT'S BEEN HAPPENING FOR ABOUT A WEEK. I THINK THEY ARE PLANNING SOMETHING."

"Do you know how many there are?"

"I'VE ONLY SEEN SCOUTS BUT THE NATIVES USUALLY TRAVEL IN GROUPS OF 40 OR SO. ONLY THE MEN FIGHT SO AROUND 20 FIGHTERS IF THEY DECIDED TO ATTACK. I ONLY HAVE 7 COMBAT ROBOTS AND THE TRUCK SO I'M NOT SURE I COULD TAKE THEM ON."

OK.

Things we need to do:

-Prepare some wires to recharge our Mining and drilling bot.
-Canister to store our refined products.
-Producing new bots?

-Canister to store our refined products.
-Producing new bots?
So, we will need to:
-Refine oil
-Make plastic.
-Make plastic container.
-Melt metal.
-Make cords.
-Attach cords to the robots and equipement.
-Begin processing the rest of the stuff.

Turn 8
The Colony: (you might want to just follow this link instead since it's a big image: http://i.imgur.com/oN7N0Pe.png )

Spoiler (click to show/hide)
You have the robot that was gathering samples help unload the truck. You figure you'll have it start operating the smelter next turn.

You can move the oil rig over to the refinery and start making plastic but you'll have to stop pumping oil to do that.

The idle researcher helps out with the AI research.

Improvise up some piping to connect the oil rig to the refinery.

That would take at least a turn, and the oil rig will be full by that time, so it would be better to just stop that and process the oil
