Communications Update:
You check the distance to the distress signal and it's about 3 turns travel away once you get out of Reardenberg.

You try and hail Reed Labs but only get an automated response stating that all staff are currently busy. It also says that an attempt to contact you will be made at earliest convenience. You think it is a bit rude that no one at the entire site has time to talk with you, well either rude or creepy.

Hailing Rod's Digs has an entirely opposite effect.

"HEY THIS IS ROD, WHO ARE YOU AND WHAT DO YOU WANT?"

"Name's Hank Rearden. I want to talk business."

"BUYING OR SELLING?"

So, what did you actually want to talk to this loud miner about?

"Mostly interested in finding out what you're selling or buying, and for what. Maybe I'll buy stuff if I need it and the price is right."

"AH YEAH, WELL ORE, LOTS OF ORES AND ROCKS AND STUFF IS WHAT I'M SELLING...

Name:Cost:Description:
Hexium3Hexium can be smelted into either Grey-metal or Helitite. Grey-metal is an alright general purpose material but isn't the best around. Helitite isn't really good for anything but it's yellow and shiny.
Greium2Greium is the natural ore of Grey-Metal.
Relux Ore4An ore of a very tough metal. Typically Relux is saved for the armour plating of large machinery due to it's massive weight.
Resonance Crystals20A catch-all term for crystalline rocks that can be used for high-tech machinery, most notably laser weapons, energy shields and anti-grav.
Silicon8Silicon is a key component in electronics.

You notice a lot of his prices are pretty low.

"AS FOR BUYING IT DEPENDS ON WHAT YOU'VE GOT, MORE MINING EQUIPMENT IS ALWAYS NICE, GUNS'D BE NICE TO, I'VE SEEN A BUNCH OF THE NATIVES SNOOPING ABOUT AND I THINK THEY MIGHT BE PLANNING SOMETHING.

AS FOR INFO HERE'S A FREE TIP: DON'T PET THE WILDLIFE.

IF YOU WANT A MAP I MIGHT BE ABLE TO SCROUNGE SOMETHING UP."

Get a price for a map, ask what he would give for various weapons, see if we can get some Greium.
we really need a smelter.

We already have one.

And I want the map, but I'm not sure about engaging in trade right now.
