(Oh hey, preempted and I don't care—)
"Goodmorning! How are you? And why are there two of you now?" Be ready to be friendly, but be ready to go grab that staff and jam it back in...in fact, pick it up.

(Edit: Oh bugger, that was a mistake and not the release of an epic glitchy monster. Also.)
Grab your polearm along with the green staff, but keep talking conversationally as you do so; you're just cleaning up, really.

Imagine a cool peice of sky-blue and milk-white marble about 3cm by 2cm and by 0.5cm, containing a tiny 2mm malacolite crystal. Now imagine the miles of metamorphic rock it's embedded in that no pick or chisel will ever touch. Then, imagine that those miles will melt back into their mantle long before any telescope even refracts an image of their planet. The watchers will be so excited to have that image too.

Okay just, I HATE to have to say this, as I know what happened the last time I tried anything like this but, for the sake of the story, if you want him to directly say something, put it between these: [ "" ]
Example: "Nice weather today!"

All this >:Go talk about plutonium! Isn't really that interactive, and since this is one of the heights of an interactive comic, please use those delightful signs for talking!

Thank you for your patience.

"Er... Morning? Would you mind telling me as to why you had this green needle in you? And why you were gray until said needle was removed?
((Out of curiosity, was the needle-pulling image at all inspired by MOTHER 3?))

(Oh, I remember trying to set up one of these— a thread standard for certain commands— and it also made things very hard sometimes. Generally bolding and parenthesis are easy to remember because they're used in so many threads, but beyond that it gets increasingly difficult to make everyone keep track of.

So, like this?)

[ "Goodmorning! And hello! How are you?" ] Then once you get a mostly good answer to that
[ "Ok, so could you tell me what the hell just happened?" ]

(Wait a second...Dex, are you going to give this nasty consequences and non-standard mechanics like in that other game I vaguely remember? That one that had a lot of author-player-player-player conflict? I'm hoping that my command really just acts like a vote...like other commands.)

((
Derelict Dreams
Ah! That's it. I could not remember the name; not a case of "that which should not be named".
Aside from that, I just devoured a bunch of information on Mother 3 and might go read a Let's Play.))
