Ricardo walks out of the infirmary, his shift done for the day, he returns to his office and takes out a rapier handle. Its smooth crystal-like grip concealed a series of strong yet elaborate set of gears that allowed the blade to be attached and detached quickly. It had been years since he had held the weapon in his hands yet it was still in pristine condition. All members of his former squad had notches on their weapons, one for each kill. The weapon had no such imperfections. It had never ended the life of another. The rapier was never drawn to kill. Plenty of other such implements could do that and were wielded by people far more suited than he was and still is to inflicting death. This had a rather different purpose. He places it back into his drawer after comparing it to the newly fabricated duplicates on his desk. He meticulously loads each one with its rightful blade. Lightweight units designed solely for stabbing, their lattices ensured incredible durability along while still minimizing weight. The idea behind these weapons was simple, the blades where all fat soluble. In fact, they practically disintegrated within seconds of contact to fat. They were comprised of some healing potions to ensure that the victim lives and a massive cocktail of drugs. Whoever gets stabbed with such a device will quickly get incapacitated. Ready for interrogation.

An hour passes without much incident besides what you make. Finally a group of Crag Jumpers arrive, carrying medics and more of the 9th. They quickly move to secure the spire and the wounded.
