Cold Depths
Dwarmin|Jacquelyn Delahaye:"...Mon père?"You hold back the tears, shaking your head. You remember. You remember that day. The day those bastards betrayed your father. The day they tossed him overboard like rotten fish. The day they planned to sell you away as a slave in the new world. Your hands curl into fists, and you struggle to keep back your pain. You break.
You scream at the lake. You scream at whatever that thing is. You just-scream. You shake your fists and walk towards the lake, nearly breaking into a sprint. Your tears stream down your face, and you keep screaming. Sana tries to hold you back, but you're too strong. She stumbles backwards, calling for you.
"...Father, I'm sorry I couldn't save you...but, you...whatever you are...you're just a bad dream, you're not REAL. I'm not a little girl any more. I don't care who or what you are. You've got no power over me! I am a Delahaye...and you've got not power over me!" You now stand on the bank of the lake. Your father's body floats towards you, then rises and stands before you. You look into his eyes in shock. He touches your face with his hand, missing his index finger. He pulls you in and hugs you. You pull back, and your father gives you his ring. The ring you picked out for him. Your tears fall into the lake, and your father hugs you again.
"Jacquelyn?" he says, voice raspy and horse, full of sadness.
"Jacquelyn, I've missed you. The ocean. Is cold. And lonely. But I'm back. I-I I'm back." he says, eyes full of tears, mirroring yours.
"I'm back. But I must leave."He hugs you once more, and leads you deeper and deeper into the lake. You are knee deep, and you finally snap out of it and try to break free. You try to loose yourself from him, but he is too strong.
"You're not real! You're my father! You're not mon père!" [WIL Check. 50-(20 Difficulty)=30. RESULT=77 FAILURE]
"Mon amour. I am real. Are-are you not happy to see your papa? Do you not love me?""I-I do love you. Father. Father! Take me with you!"Your father takes your hand and takes you deeper and deeper into the lake. Your face is full of tears as you turn to face Sana, who has run towards you. She calls out, but you go deeper and deeper. You take a final gasp of air, and your head is fully submerged.
"Mon père...mon père."You are gone.
Tiruin|Amelia L. Aguilon:You decide to look away from the lake, and decide to look at the surroundings. Nothing you haven't seen; mostly the strange trees and the pitch black sky. You try to look harder, and you pierce the veil of black and you see a wolf in the forest. A gigantic, snow white wolf. Alone. You shake it away, and you hear Ura tell all of you to get back.
You do so, as do the others, but Jack is moving closer to the lake. You call out to he, but you hear her scream and you see her shaking, hands formed into fists. You see the little girl, Sana, hold on to her, trying to hold her back, but the little girl is pushed back into the floor. Jack storms off into the lake, and Sana gets up and chases after her.
She trips again, and screams for her on the floor. Jack is at the bank, hugging thin air, and you call out once more. Sana has gotten up, and is chasing at her full speed, but to no avail. She falls to her knees at the bank, crying and begging. Jack looks back at her, and finally disappears into the lake.
You close your eyes and loom down, listening to her cries. They stop, and when you look up you see Sana raised into the air, by a sword. Her blood stains the black lake, and the man wielding the blade throws her in the water. You shout, and you run after him, along with the others.
You stop when the man pulls out Sana out of the water, completely healed. The man disappears into the water, and you see Sana breathing heavily. You run to her, and Gertrude holds her in her arms. You look around, and once more you see the white wolf.
IronyOwl|Sana:"...Dangerous." you mumble, gazing at the lake.
You turn to Jack, who now is visibly holding back her tears. Her hands curled into fists, shaking. You tug at her, but she doesn't feel anything. You keep tugging, but she moves forward. You grab her and try to pull her back, but she keeps screaming at the lake. You pull with all your might, trying to keep her from the lake.
[S Check. 10=10. RESULT=17 FAILURE]
You can't hold back someone of her strength, and so you fall backwards. You try to get up and stop her, but you trip and fall on your knees. You call out. You scream. You plead. You beg. She does not hear. Tears stream your face as you try to stop her. She steps in the water, hugging empty air. She extends her arm and walks forward, as if holding someone else. You call for her to stop. She is waist-deep in the water when you finally muster the strength to run towards her.
When you finally make it to the bank, when you see Jack, nearly submerged in the lake, when she turns to face you. Her face is full of tears, her lips smiling lovingly at you. Why? Why must the only one who protected you be taken away. Why does this always happen? Her face is one of genuine happiness and togetherness, but her eyes plead for help. Tears not of happiness, but of fear.
You scream and splash the lake as Jack disappears into the lake. You look at your reflection, what you see is a coward. Why didn't you stop her, why couldn't you? Your reflection smiles, and an arm darts out of the water, seizing your neck. You gasp for air as your reflection rises out of the water and raises you along with her. She smiles as she brings you into the water as well, but you keep reminding yourself that it isn't real. It isn't real.
[WIL Check 50-(20 Difficulty)=30. RESULT=24 SUCCESS]
You close your eyes when you are released and you fall to the ground. You gasp for air as you look and see the reflection gone. You crawl backwards from the lake, heavily breathing and crying. You scream once more to the lake, nearly using up your air once more.
"Give her back! Don't leave me!"
You hear the others scream, but you ignore them until you feel a pain in your stomach. You rise from the ground, and you feel the blade twist inside you. Your mouth agape, you stare at the reflection, and you see yourself smiling. You give a little squeal, until you are tossed into the lake.
scapheap|Ura Hakai Kaze:You try to pull away from the lake, stepping backwards. You try to shoo away the thoughts inside, to bring yourself at ease.
"It-not-real,-just-some-thing-that-odd." you turn away, struggling not to look at the lake.
"We-need-to-leave."You motion for the others to go, which the others look among each other nodding and shaking. Except Jack. She's standing the closest to the lake, visibly shaking. You call out to her, but she doesn't respond. She starts screaming at the lake, and walks towards it angrily, nearly running. You call out some more, but she doesn't stop. You see Sana, holding her back. The poor girl falls backwards, and you see her getting up and running after her. She trips and keeps calling out.
You look in horror as Jack hugs empty air, and you can barely see her lips moving, as if talking to someone. She holds her arm out and walks into the lake. You call out to her, then to Sana as you see her running to the lake. Jack is nearly submerged when Sana is at the bank. You see the little girl screaming and splashing at the water. You gasp as Jack is submerged, gone.
You close your eyes as if it were a nightmare. When you open them, you see Sana holding her arms to her throat, choking. You try to save her, but you as you head towards her she breaks free. She starts screaming again, when you see a man walking out of the trees behind her. you call out to her, as well as the others but she cannot hear you.
The man heads even closer to Sana, who then draws his blade. You cry out louder, but she is stabbed in the back. The blade twists inside her, and the man tosses her into the lake. You shriek, charging towards him. You stop when the man reaches into the water and pulls out Sana, completely unharmed but breathing heavily.
You and the others run towards Sana and Gertrude holds her in her arms, trying to bring her back.
Harry Baldman|Gertrude "Gorilla" Thompson:You consider walking into the lake. To confront the demons in your head. The monsters in your mind. You shake it off, realizing the stupidity of it. You step back, cutting off the pull. You hear Ura call out and warn you all to do so as well, and you agree. Jack, however, is dangerously lose to the lake, and you see her shaking. You call her. She doesn't hear. Something's wrong. Jack starts screaming and walking quickly towards the lake, and you see little Sana trying in vain to hold her back.
Sana falls back, but the determined little woman gets up but trips again. You feel a deep pity, and you want to help her but your fear keeps you back. Sana is on her hands and knees, crying and screaming. You gulp. You see Jack wading in the water, hand outstretched. Sana is now running towards the lake, but you see Jack disappear into the lake. You look away and you cringe. You hear a single scream in the darkness, cut off by muffle sounds. You look to see Sana choking!
She falls on her knees, gasping heavily. She finally stops and you feel relieved. She screams at the lake, but you see someone walk out of the trees behind her. You call for her to watch out, but she is too busy screaming and holding her neck. You warn the others who in turn scream out for her, but she still doesn't hear.
The man walks behind Sana, and raises her blade. You decide to run towards her, screaming. The blade strikes clean through Sana, and the man lifts her up, twisting the blade. Her blood drips in the water, and the man throws her body into the lake. You scream as her dead corpse floats in the water. You raise your hammer and charge towards the man, but you stop as the man reaches in the lake and brings out Sana, completely unharmed.
The man drags Sana to the bank, and she gasps for air. You give a smile as you run towards her. The man retreats into the woods, but you hold Sana in your arms, as the lake "moves" away. Literally floating away. What is left behind is flat dead land. You care little, but you try to resuscitate Sana.
Caellath|Falken Stiehr:You bend on your knees, and slowly make a crouch. You take off your mask, your voice becoming clearer, though still hoarse. You then speak out.
"Do tell me, all of you," you say, revealing your Germanic accent.
Has anyone here ever visited Hell itself? Would you be able to recognize it? I do not believe so, and I say it hardly matters."You grit your teeth, and you decide to stand your ground. You hear Ura warn all of you to step back, and you agree. You see Jack, however, scream and walk towards the lake. You see Sana try to stop her, but the little girl is knocked backwards. She gets up, only to trip on another root once more. A pitiful sight. She screams on the ground pleading for Jack to come back.
Sana runs towards the lake, and you call out for her to stop. Now you see Jack waist-deep in the lake, holding her arm out. You see Sana reach the bank just as Jack disappears in the cold depths of the lake. You close your eyes listening to the little girls screams. The screams are cut short, and you open your eyes to see a man stabbing Sana, raising her from the ground and tossing her body into the lake.
Your eyes wide open, you join the others and charge towards the maniac. You stop in your tracks as the man reaches into the water and pulls out Sana, perfectly fine, and the man retreats into the forest once more. You run towards Sana, breathing heavily. Gertrude holds Sana in her arms and tries to bring Sana back.
Party:You stand over Sana, trying to bring her back. She's unconscious. Jack, unfortunately, has disappeared. But, there might be some way to bring her back.

Clothes/ A simple mix of what men would commonly wear in most areas make up this set: a chemise, kirtle with a surcoat topping it off, falling to about ankle height to name a few, it was an ensemble made to ensure comfort and warmth as well as function for everyday use.
High-cut Boots/ Taken out of its technical term, these boots are fitted and padded under the skin so as to provide full covering for the foot, heel and ankle as well as the lower portion of the thigh without sacrificing mobility.
Two-Handed Saber [2d6+WS bonus damage]/ The two-handed saber is an often overlooked weapon. These swords have similar proportions to typical longswords, though single-edged. The structure and make of the weapon-seemingly a hybrid of both-employs the use of the thick spine for deflection and it's whole weight being placed on the edge, for precise strikes.
Copper breastplate [Block 1d6+T bonus damage]/ Fully covering the torso, it confers protection in the most practical sense.
Quesadillas/ A flour tortilla filled with a savory mixture containing cheese, other ingredients, and/or vegetables, then folded in half to form a crescent. It is personally considered a sublime dish.
Chain-bound Diary/ "Notes and written words would keep any memory in check." - You see a tome, sturdy and filled with reams of paper. It is somehow light and easy to carry despite its appearance.

Okay, so that's the first death. Sorry Dwarmin. But there might be a way to bring her back. I hope the death scene was alright.
Other note: wolfchild will be introduced next round. Don't worry.
