Harold shrugged his shoulders at the words of the Confederacy of Light representative.

"Frankly, none of these provisions you are stating were in the pact. In attacking them I simply lost the protection of the rest of the pact. There was no provision for my removal. And there is no provision that states it takes a unanimous decision to kick someone from the pact. I understand that you wish to follow the letter of your agreements. But at this point you are simply adding what was not there before. I had thought that your own ideas of honoring your agreements were what cast us against each other, but it appears that is not the case. Do you truly believe I am a larger danger to the peace and prosperity then the Kasvaldni brute? Are you now acting out of what you perceive as morals instead of what you perceive as honor? I had thought to find a way to let you leave this battle with your honor fully intact, but if you do not wish for it simply tell me, and I will admit myself the fool for my belief in you and quit this negotiation with you."

"Frankly, you're all being foolish. It doesn't matter whether he's in the pact or not; if my scribes recorded correctly, if someone within the pact initiates hostilities, they forfeit the benefit of the pact." The Arch-Scholar leaned back, snorting. "I don't care either way, really. The Republic is not part of the pact. We only took steps to prevent any one nation from becoming overly powerful, particularly one who has shown a proclivity for violence in the past. Ardent, I believe you offered your training facilities?"

Send one scholar to Pascalia to be made into an archer and returned. Once it is returned, send one scholar and one craftsmen to Pascalia to be made into an archer and returned.

"I would gladly throw my vote in for Ardent and her kingdom to join in the pact. Now, for the whelp who loses ALL his troops to an inferior force, peace is achieveable, since not only you have been demilitarized by your own actions, but you have foolishly spent your strength all upon one attack. Any peace that would occur would certainly not be in your favour, especially after your actions in inciting forces outside the pact to attack a member of it.

So, if you want peace, you might wish to start stating what you'll pay to have it. Otherwise, I would kindly advise you to stop threatening a fellow member of the pact before the troops that were gathered in the aftermath of Earthshaker can show you what exactly happened to all your troops."

Harold spreads his hands.

"Your threats bore me. I am not here for your words. When you are ready to unconditionally surrender, which seems to clearly be never as I already know you intend to go down in a blaze of what your people think of as 'glory', I will hear your words. Until then they fall on no ones ears."

"And you say you're here for peace, yet when offered with it you throw it back to the person that offered it. Especially considering the factors, I think you're doing this just to lay with someone than actually fight a war. So kid, I advise you to shut up, start offering up something substancial to the peace negotiations, and once that's done you go find a nice corner with a priestess of the shrine here, or two, and you go spend a nice, long night with them. Death is inevitable, remember? Best to enjoy it while you still live, for it cares not how happy you are when it takes you."

Ardent briefly turns to the elf, and gives an odd look of slight irritation, then speaks. "Aye, ya held up yer end'a the bargain, I'll hold up mine. Unlike a certain "peaceful" hypocrite." She says, tossing the ash out of her pipe in Harold's general direction.
"I've got some cultists in my territory set up who'd take death over two mates any day. The crazy little scamps." she says in response to Khaz'Gar.

Upon careful thought, I realize that the spirit of the law is as important as the word, Kalsvahni, you have broken the spirit by attacking that peaceful farming village, but Harold that does not change the fact that that you attacked the kalsvahni without provocation, so here is what I suggest.  1 Ironspine hold be returned to the kalsvahni, 2 war repairations be made to them, which I may be willing to help with and 3, Harold and The kingdom of Norlar Demilitarize and remain that way for breaking the peace untill the rest of the nations come to a consensus that they can regain their forces, however so too will the Kalsvhani as proof that they are genuine in their desire for peace, the demilitarized nations may however keep one phalanx squadron and one archer squadren for self defense

Build a farm in Ark.

"Anyone need two farmers? I need two fighter."

Clair focuses on the current matter

"I'm a bit confused, Earthshaker was attacked who?"

"This meeting is occurring far too early. I would be happy to agree to a general armistice between the treaty signatories and our little faction, but Sevargda will have to be put to the stake, first. Any peace that coexists with that Orc is a shortlived farce, and I'll not live under the constant threat of war."

"As far as the eventual peace; I will not accept demilitarization. Sevargda is only one of the threats to my Kingdom in this world. I will certainly attempt war reparations to those caught in the fighting between Sevargda, Harold MacTargash, and myself, once this unfortunate business is done with. But certainly not now, and not under those conditions."

"I apologize to our hosts for wasting their time."

Having said what he wanted to say, Marrick settles into his chair, to hear what the other leaders at the table had to say.

Assuming my expert count on the spreadsheet is correct, three craftsmen and three fighters are used to train three squads of phalanx. The Smithy is used to train another phalanx squad without the need for a craftsman. A warrior squad is also trained, with Drafted Serfs used in place of a fighter.

Three slaves are sacrificed at the Temple of Purity for a Maiden. The payment to the Temple Elders for this service is the fourth slave
(unless they don't accept slaves as payment, in which case the payment is a farmer).

"Ya toxic livers are borin' me. All ya spout is wantin' peace, but ya really want war the most. Attackin' someone defenseless just 'cause of yer bigoted misconceptions then sayin' peace can be made with ya like it's truth."

"If I were acting out of bigotry, I would be attacking you as well, dwarf. I am not; the conflict between us is of your making. Also, Sevargda is hardly defenseless."

Khaz'gar shook his head at the human's words. "And this, my fellows, is why we cannot have peace. I would be more than willing to demilitarize. But doing so with these aggressors would be suicide. And thus, unless they wish to restate that they are willing for peace, and to pay reparations that there is no peace that can be sustained without the surrender of the pactbreakers, and as they have made so clear, they will not do so by the pen. Thus, regretfully, they must be forced to do so at swordpoint.

And as for peace with an orc, you make me think that the next knife would be in Harold's back. Unless he isn't an orc, which would explain his lack of competence in martial-related subjects."
Khaz'Gar mused, as he contemplated something at random

He then turned to face Ardent after responding to the table in general. "Really? That's just silly. I mean, death is inevitable, but going after it is a whole new level. Then again, can't complain about it though, and atleast they're doing what makes them happy. In a sense, they're enjoying life in their own way. Shame most folks put other goals infront of that though."

"Aye, they're a silly bunch that lot. More effective to threaten'em with a long and healthy life than to point bows or swords at'em. Then again, I can't hardly ever understand the religious lot in my empire, the bunch of weirdos."

Ardent turned her attention to the woman from the Confederacy of Light. "Oy, light liver, as a sign'a my peaceful intentions, think ya could send me some craftsmen so I can gift a few archers Iron Liver's way so he can defend himself?"
