I dunno, just go on and get a bit away from spawn so our congregation doesn't look so weird. We'll organise the proper expedition when everyone is at least somewhat in place on the server.

What're your usernames? I can help you if you need me.

I assume it was about cod tendies and an austerity-caused crunch in the supply of good boy points.

Mine is narry40.

Edit:
Jesus fuck that's one hell of a water spawn. I'm currently at about x-8000 z8000 and I've only seen a few islands as far as land goes. Did find a giant, half chopped tree though, got saplings and wood.

Good. If you have saplings and wood you've solved the absolute largest challenge you'll face at sea.

I just realized I've been sailing for about 2 hours.
But hey, I'm now in the tens of thousands in x and z!

*I* didn't even go that far. Well, at first. I went through a nether portal, went way out, stopped playing, and forgot where my old house was. But I've got more than enough stuff to make a new base, or I could try remembering coordinates.

Is there a right way?

Well, I'm done for the night. Believe it or not, holding down "w" for 2.5 hours is not nearly as enthralling as it sounds.

There is no right way, but due north is the wrong way. People say it's 100k blocks or something to reach land that way. Some directions it's close as 2000.

Let's all just head towards 0,0, alright? Once we meet the edge of the ocean, we'll find a dwarven place to hang out.

I was going SSW and I found some small islands pretty quickly.
