Putri shrugs widely. "I think he's lazy?"

Avos eyes the man with amusement, continuing to talk with Putri, "Heh, lazy enough to not even take off his flak armor when he is trying to sleep?"

Squad

Wilfried yawns a bit, stretching his arms out now looking at the rest of the squad. "Eh? You guys are apart of that new regiment that came in? Nice, but you must be assigned to this building as well. If you didn't know, squads don't get a single building to themselves. Seems the upper command can't spare that kind of luxury to us." he explains, gathering a nearby rucksack and slinging it onto his shoulder. Wilfried then turns to Belensh, "No no no, I don't exactly have a problem with him. Don't start thinking I'm just dodging out on anything, I'm not. He's just been running our squad through extra drills, trying to seem all professional with his new rank and whatnot. I'm not lazy either, just tired is all. Rest of my squad is out drinking, and I was just taking a quick nap before coming to join them. Feel free to come with me if you want, some extra company would be nice I suppose. Sure the guys down at the bar would like to meet some off-worlders, if they haven't already."

Avos smiles, "Course we would join you, at least I wouldn't mind to, after I get done taking care of my equipment, you know, just to make sure I do keep an eye on you, so you aren't slacking off as you claim to not be doing in the first place." Avos glances at the sergeant, "As long as that is alright with you sir."

Aleksandr sets down his equipment in the far left corner and begins cleaning.

Ha, you'll need all the training you can get, comrade. Especially in this backwater.

"Training is a fine activity. Complex plans may turn into dust when the first contact with the enemy happens and having been throughly drilled is almost guaranteed to save your life during these occasions." Knoll seems appeased with the explanation and begins looking around the building, apparently searching for the field office traditionally given to commissars in Guard encampments. He wouldn't be surprised in case there isn't be one set up for him, but in the end would be only a minor slight and easily ignored. "We were informed there is a curfew in place, but not about when exactly it takes place." he says, checking his chrono and turning back to face Wilfried.

Belensh's hard expression turns to one of mild disgust. An amateur officer. Bleh. "That is sensible. Where is your sergeant, then?" He waits as the others put in their own questions and comments, and once the Commissar had finished speaking, answers Avos. "It will be fine, so long as you perform the proper rituals of maintenance on your gear. We'll need to get our bearings in this place anyway. Drills can begin tomorrow."

He was interested as to when the curfew would take place, but asking again after Commissar Knoll had already asked the question would be disrespectful and unneeded.

Then he remembers something. "Troopers, you're to set your compasses to this world, as well."

Squad

"Training? I'm perfectly well-trained, not like a single Ork is going to put up much a fight anyways. I'll just line a shot up on 'em and blam! One dead Ork. If you're looking for our sergeant he is no doubt at the bar with the rest of the squad, trying to keep them in line no doubt. Not like he's good at it though." he says with a grin, beginning to walk towards the door. "Oh, curfew is at ten o'clock sharp. Try not to be out and about without a good reason, and if you don't make sure to be quiet and take the back alleyways to not get caught. If you want to get a few drinks in you, feel free to follow me. I can introduce you to the rest of the gang if you want, show you around a bit. Not like I got anything better to do."

Knoll
You spend a few moments looking throughout the small house, the wooden floorboards creaking as you walk around. There appear to be a few side rooms, but otherwise the large room where you first came in seems to be it. There's not even a simpledesk for paperwork, much to your dismay.

Belensh nods. "If we are to use the same building, I can meet him another time. Commissar Tuhlann, could I speak with you in private for a moment?"

"Absolutely, Sergeant." the political officer says, appearing as he walks out of a side room, wondering whether regimental command forgot he needs the material to send periodic reports.

Putri sighs. Orks were nasty buggers, and they sure as hell didn't go down that easily. ...She just wondered if she would get in trouble for saying so.

Novumus took a seat, manipulating his mechadendrite so it sat on the table in front of him, and began to examine it as he waited, occasionally tinkering with some of the screws.

Harmon shoots a glance at "Guardsman" Graeun, torn between pity and disgust, then moves into a corner of the room and begins to go through the rites of maintenance.
