As a note, I want at least one craftsman from BFEL before I give either of you Basics of Magic. I won't have you trading amongst each other and lowering my profits.

Wolf, you deal with slaves by sacrificing them at the temple. If you don't want them though, that's fine, I'll just have to think of something else to reward you with (I mean, you got me a greater race  PHALANX, Kinda owe you for that.)

you need to sacrifice another specialist at the temple to go along with the slave, plus we need to give the temple owners a specialist so they will let us. I guess if you really want me to have it I will take it, not really keen on it though

Actually, you only need three experts. Slaves technically count as those, so you only need three slaves to make one (Plus the extra one for the temple's tribute.)

Hm, looks like I didn't get my expected craftsmen this turn. I can make the archers if you just throw one my way if you can afford it, Rolep.

Forgive any typos /brevity, I am using my phone.

ok if I make a smithy it leaves me with 5 craftsmen and 2 fighters, using the smithy's effect I  can make 2 phalanxes and then either a phalanx or an archer, leaving 2. craftsmen, which can wirlth tarric's help make 2 more phalanxes, 1.each say?

Rolep, you gonna be able to provide a craftsman with the scholars for one of your archers?

"We're in a pact for peace with each other. I broke it immediately by attacking a defenseless ally who showed no signs of aggression or desire to break the pact out of paranoia and in the name of helping a random village that wasn't a part of the pact or any nation. Now kick that guy who followed the pact out so that I, the one who broke it, can continue to be in the pact and manipulate you guys into beating up the ones I don't like due to a few empty threats that ultimately lead to nothing." - Criptfiend Logic, 2013

You are perfectly welcome to your own self contradictory take on the events that have happened.

Personally as a player I see where criptfiend is coming from, but I would have preferred to give taric a chance to prove he could manage a peace, also criptfiend the terms of the pact were that if you attacked another member, then you were automatically out

Edit: ok I'm outta time, probably at least 6 hours till I can post again, unless I do it from the phone while taking a loo break (which i dont think is a good idea)

None of that is actually in the words of the pact at all Wolfchild. If you want to work on a more serious and specific pact with me I am open to that, but the pact we have is so loose that it is totally open to interpretation.

I'm going to be 100% honest here, I am having a hard time seeing this as fully 'IC' now.

How? You broke the pact, and are now demanding that the people who didn't kick out someone because you want them to. It's entirely IC to want you out of the pact and not follow your words for anyone in it.

Lillipad: I'm not demanding a thing. It's just a simple fact that at this point I know it is likely I can get a majority of the people already in the pact to vote to kick Taricus out. And yes, Wolfchild is stating that a deal with him would be easier if he was not totally IC. But his character is very much a 'by the exact letter' type of person apparently and is now stating a bunch of things that are not 'by the exact letter'. Which is something I find inconsistent with his previous way of playing her.

To be honest, and this is totally just conjuncture and I don't mean any insult by it, I have the feeling that Wolfchild would agree with me OOC, but has decided not to because he wants to play totally IC. Which is admirable, but since his OOC persona and his IC persona disagree he is trying so hard to keep them separate that he has actually started to make IC decisions that don't actually make sense IC simply in a effort to keep himself distanced from his OOC persona.

Of course, that is just conjuncture from what I have seen. Wolfchild of course knows Reshiel much much better then me. Perhaps this all does make perfect sense. But going to far in the opposite direction is not a really uncommon 'mistake' to make when your OOC disagrees with your IC. People do it a lot. I do it a lot. So I am simply asking Wolfchild if he is sure this is caused by his IC, or by his desire to be opposite of his OOC.

As a note, the pact has no power beyond what you give it.

You can just choose not to aid whoever you want.

I think you are right cript, I actually envisioned her as Lawful good, tending towards good if she had to make a choice, and the fact that Tarric attacked the neutral town did violate the spirit if not the word of the treaty, so she will try to meet in the middle, rp chat incoming.

edit: also was I not supposed to receive a bonus for being the first civ to research mountaineering?

aand out of time on this pay internet I will get back on once I get home
