Hey... maybe the key is hidden somewhere?  Somewhere else?  Otherwise this looks to be a grand waste of time, and I can't have that.

Lilia steps back and looks for a second at Joy.  Maybe... maybe going completely alone was a rather stupid idea.  She'll give the lady that, there are creatures worse than other humans crawling around in this dark hole.  She may not have to take absolutely everyone with her though.

"Hey, you.  Remember that gray building we saw earlier?  Or that chapel?  I'm going to try looking for the mansion key there.  You said people should flock with each other.  So you can come, but don't take all the other people.  Big groups.... attract attention!" she spouts suddenly, flustered.  Being polite seems so difficult, and Lilia doubted she got it right.

Harvey shrugs at the man.

" We've already been attacked once so forgive me if I'm a little cautious around strangers. "

Relief flushed Lilia's face, and she quickly grew quiet again.  It's not her style to talk all that much, so she was glad Joy accepted right away.

Lilia begins heading over to that odd gray complex, expectant of Joy to come too.

Eleanor sighed slightly, the catacombs did not sound like a fun place to visit "What exactly makes them so dangerous?"

"They're catacombs hun. That pretty much says 'danger' like a giant flashing neon sign. Otherwise they would call them 'TUNNELS OF NICENESS' or something. Its damned by cannotation."

Terry turns to face the man.

"So what exactly are your 'bigger concerns'. Also why should we trust you not to get all vampy on us like Shaky did?"

Eleanor glared at Terry "It's obvious that they are dangerous yes, but what is not so obvious is what is in them that makes them that dangerous and I would like to know before wandering into them"

Harvey shrugs at the man.

" We've already been attacked once so forgive me if I'm a little cautious around strangers. "
He glares at you, silently furious. "You come into my home, pound on my door and threaten me with knives. And you dare insult me by calling me stranger in my own house?" The man doesn't move, but you feel a sudden change in athmosphere, as if the air itself is teeming with pure hate "You choose your next words very carefully, boy, lest I lose my temper. You strangers have brought nothing but ruin to this place..."

Relief flushed Lilia's face, and she quickly grew quiet again.  It's not her style to talk all that much, so she was glad Joy accepted right away.

Lilia begins heading over to that odd gray complex, expectant of Joy to come too.

You both go to the strange rectangle. Joy tries to expand her senses, but her power fizzles. Looks like you'll need some time after your little venture into the past of that man-ghost. As you near the strange object, you feel a certain energy emenating from it. It feels like major bad mojo. You think you can hear a faint whispering.

Eleanor sighed slightly, the catacombs did not sound like a fun place to visit "What exactly makes them so dangerous?"
"Oh, you know, restless spirits, undead, remnants of the so-called "wyrm". I don't believe there were traps installed, but these days I cannot see all the way over there anymore."

WORDS TIME
"You young brats and your damned insolence, do you not think that if I simply wanted you dead I'd have attacked you instead of making myself known. My bigger concerns are the restless spirits of the inhabitants of this place, surely one of you has noticed them? They are those who died to the wyrm, their souls were to be consumed by the beast, but I shall not let it have them. I'm using most of my considerable powers to keep the souls here, lest they be lost to oblivion. The beast may have thought it had gotten his meal, but I shall not let them go silently into the darkness. Achbaar resists."

((sorry for the late update. I'm going to be rather busy the next 2 weeks or so, so updates might be somewhat sporadic. I apologize in advance.))

"Well, this looks pretty dangerous to me. How about we take five until I recharge the good ol' brainpan? I'd probably be able to tell you something about this in that case."

Rest awhile.

"..."

Lilia allows the question hang in the air as she waits in quiet agreement.  She may not have had any seeing powers herself, but this "block" or whatever it was felt even creepier than the mansion somehow.  Brushing her hands lightly over its strangely artificial surface, a shiver curls down her spine.  This fact seems to hush her further, and she retreats into dark and gloomy thoughts about what could cause such a forbidding feeling.

As she broods, Lilia also looks around the complex to see if there even is a way into it.

"I hope this doesn't sound like a stupid question but where exactly are the catacombs?" Eleanor pointed to the strange rectangle "I would guess they would be there but I'm not entirely sure"

"Well, this looks pretty dangerous to me. How about we take five until I recharge the good ol' brainpan? I'd probably be able to tell you something about this in that case."

Rest awhile.
You rest for a bit, focusing your thoughts, putting that man's thoughts in the darkest corner of your skull. You feel much better after a bit of rest. You also notice that, while you were forcing the ghost's past away, you are able to recall every bit of it perfectly. It seems that whatever you see while using your "other" vision, it stays with you forever. While you are going over the events like a film, Lilia mumbles something and you look at her. She seems different somehow, it's as if you can see all of her emotions with perfect clarity. You barely get a look at her when you look at the rectangle. Dark forces are swirling around it, shapes like screaming faces and a torrent of screams and evil whispers. Your other vision suddenly snaps shut, and the rectangle is just stone once more. That was quite a scare, though you think you can control your other vision better now, even though that horrible sight will never leave again.

You walk around the rectangle. There doesn't seem to be an entrance, at least not anymore. You notice part of the backside looks as if it was build slightly after the rest. As if there once was an entrance, but they bricked it up. you run your hand over the newer part, you shiver and get goosebumps. at that moment your attention is directed to a sound of something falling to the ground. You look to Joy and see that she's on the ground, staring at the rectangle, silently screaming. You're about to say something when she suddenly seems to snap back into reality. weird.

"Perhaps, I can't rightly tell if it has your artefact when I don't know what it is. And, ah, no offense son, but I think you're rather out of your league. But if you're dead set to go after it, or if you're stupid enough to let it attack you, here's some advice. Go for the sanguine heart and do not let it burrow into you."

"I hope this doesn't sound like a stupid question but where exactly are the catacombs?" Eleanor pointed to the strange rectangle "I would guess they would be there but I'm not entirely sure"
The man looks to where you're pointing and slowly shakes his head. "No, not there. The entrance is inside of the chapel, a trapdoor behind the altar. There used to be a different route, but the earth has reclaimed that one, I'm afraid. As for that rectangle, it is a prison." He looks straight at you "It is of the utmost importance that you do not open it."

"Y-y-y-yeah... th-that b-building is... really b-bad news. Like, the worst news. Worse than anything before..." Joy says as she stares upwards. She sits up.

Damn visions, will she never get any peace?

"Going in's... not a good idea, I'd say. There's horror in the air, screams and evil whispers from beyond someplace terrible. Like... demons and stuff. Let's leave this alone for the time being, for my sake if nobody else's, huh?"

Explain what's what, head back to the group, insist that exploring this while there's only two of us around is, like, the worst idea ever.

Harvey shrugs at the man.

" Sorry, I get a little paranoid when something tries to kill me. "

Harvey tucks the knives back away then follows the group.

Follow the group I'm with.
