I never really got into the megaman lore (Or even the games, I have only played the RPG style cyberspacey ones), so a few things are confusing me a little.

Is it a correct assumption that Oids would be like Megaman from the platformer games where megaman is actually a real dude? And the Chips and Fios would be from the RPGs, where Megaman is just a program in cyberspace? With the chips actually being the attack chips used in battle, but with only one use now, and the Fios being the character programs like Megaman and Roll and such? And in this world both of them exist as separate, but related, things?

Also, do Fios have the sapience and self will of Oids? Are we going to have long important conversations and wonder on the facts of life when you have no body of your own and you pretty much have to ride in the backseat of someone else? Do Fios ever try to hijack the Oids they are in? Or are Fios that advanced counted as Techoids?

Can other Oids use Techoids as Fios?

I like the sheets, clean, readable, answers upcoming questions about battle. One thing though, should I ditch my LANCE or PUNCH since I got my CHASSIS? Which put me over three things? Or is the Chassis a additional item on top of the three?

@Cript: CHASSIS is actually your armor, since you can't equip a normal vest like a humoid could.

Quote
Lv. 1 Ceramic Striker Chassis (+12 Defense, +1 Armor, +5 Piloting)
Traits/Cannot be removed, Unlimited Upgrade Slots

vs
Quote
Caeltech Light Combat Armor (+1 Armor, +12 Def)
Traits: Equippable, one Upgrade Slot (Empty)

Now for the other questions...

Some Humoids are actually originally Humans, changed around so much they can't really tell the legal difference anymore. Most Oids are 'just' machines.
Chips are physical chips. Game logic suggests they might look like floppy discs. :P
I've never played the RPGs (Which might explain alot), but FIOS are indeed cyberspace programs. In fact, since no created a successful Techoid, I'm still working on the cyberspace realm. News at 11.

FIOS are indeed sapient, and they will talk to you and perhaps fall in love with you, but they have their own separate lives from the work they do for Oids. You could imagine it as your head being the place they go to work every day. They're almost always still connected to the net, though.

FIOS could hijack an OID and drive them around-they're extremely advanced, and thus come with those risks. And yes, at that point, they can choose to create a body and be considered a Techoid. Possession and Mind Control were going to be one of my higher tier Techoid powers.

You know, I think a Techoid could 'ride' as a FIO in another Oid, but it'd be pretty crowded in there...as the OP says, too much and too long and you get schizophrenic robomania as all the personalities meld together.

I think of FIOs like Cyber-Elves. :P

I have two or three questions:

Are stats and skills listed with or without enhancement from our equipment? (Or just stats or just skills, I guess I put it as ether both or none, I didn't mean it that way.)

As in, is my armor at base of 1 and my chassis adds another one to bring it to two? (My original assumption was that no, but I can't find where I get a point of firepower.) And if that is the case for skills, does that mean in jet mode I would roll piloting at +20?

Second question is: For those of us who get to pick more starting skills, can we pick more ranks in skills we already have? And if so, what would the effect of that pick be (Like another +5? Or lowering returns or something?)

Minor questions: Can I deploy my Sniper Rifle well I am airborn? Is it another action to deploy/undeploy weapons like that? How long does it take to switch between JET mode and ARM mode? My PUNCH has on the damage line "Jet boost chargeup" and in traits "Building Power Boost (Jet Mode)" what do these mean?

I've fixed my character to be more internally consistent, as well as some minor equipment changes.

And, now for some questions:

Was Earth already an element that I didn't notice? Or is that new?
How are coolant based and heat based different? Does one get more efficient as it heats up until it explodes while the other gets less efficient?

Color really dose not matter, but I'll change it to what you like.

I've added up stats and skills and totaled them in with equipment.

Your armor is base 0, the chassis brings it up to 1.

Also, see your last chip "Lv. 1 Firepower Enhancement (+1 FP)"

And yeah, just choose 3 skills to gain a boost to.

I dont think you could fire a sniper rifle with any degree of accuracy while airborne. But hey, it dose have an upgrade slot...and it's just a weapon that leaves you somewhat immobile and vulnerable while firing. I wouldn't make you spend a turn setting it up unless you wanted to.

I'd say jet and arm would be pretty much immediate, based on your descriptive text. You could even specify multiple shifts every turn.

I haven't decided yet on your boost mode stats yet, but you did indicate jet mode powered up your hurricane punch, correct? Sort of like a charging attack.

I've fixed my character to be more internally consistent, as well as some minor equipment changes.

I added Earth because of your char :P You formatted it wrong tho...

The only diff is Coolant lowers and heat rises. Both are bad when getting too high or low, respectively.

Ahh. Okay, that makes sense. I thought chips were like, onetime burnable bonuses for a single roll or scene or something, not semi permanent upgrades. Is there a limit on the number of chips we can put into use at a time?

I will take Piloting, Tactics, and engineering.

An Oid can process as many chips as he or she likes, though heavy use may require a brief period of rest to allow the systems to construct themselves.

They're not recycleable, though. Any currently installed chips can't be retrieved. But, say, if I personally found an Eternal Battle V.2 chip, would it overwrite Eternal Battle V.1 or would the bonuses stack?

Very nice.

So I can have a harem inside my harem.

Question then: Is it possible for FIOs to serve two OIDs at once? What about bouncing between two or more of them, like to lend their defensive abilities to whoever (amongst the people they're willing to work for, presumably) they think needs it most that round?

There are those sorts of temporary buff chips though. And you can have as many chips as you like...

V.2 would overwrite V.1, yeah.

Yeah, FIO's move at the pace of a high speed internet connection. They could bounce between different users, but only one at a time in a round. You'd definitely be working them harder than usual, though.

Made some minor changes to your chips. Fox got two skills rolled into one, and I added engineering to Cripts Piloting chip.

I also figure chip levels will either come in double skills of 5x each (+Athletics, +Social=Fit and Sleek) and be cheaper, or just one chip for a single skill with a +10x, more expensive but obviously better in the long run. I'm thinking the same levels wouldn't stack the same bonuses for skills and things, just like two V.1 chips don't equal double stats...

Humm, back to work!

Edit: Also added STRIKER PUNCH charge bonus-every turn spent entirely in Jet Mode gives a +2/+4/+6 bonus to da next punch, up to three turns. RP wise, this can be prepared before a battle if there's enough time and you make the action. I'm going to say right now I turn is roughly a minute, just to get that out of the way.
