Heroes of Might and Magic has good music, the forth in the series generally considered to be the best. I'm inclined to agree, though I'm not sure whether all the music was composed for the game as some of it I've heard elsewhere (In particular, one theme is the same tune as the nut oil song in Black and White 2)

Otherwise, Total Annihilation (Kingdoms is pretty nice as well), Fable has some nice tracks (Oakvale), Stronghold, Day of the Tentacle and Sam and Max: Hit the Road.

One more: One Must Fall: 2097 has a neat soundtrack. Oh, and Descent 1 and 2, listen to it from an AWE32 soundcard on YouTube.

Command and conquer, Halo, ( Don't judge me), Super Hexagon ( The game would be crap without that music), and.... Damn. I can't think of anything.

Hotline Miami, definitely.

Honestly though, there's just too many amazing soundtracks out there to name them all. Video game music has just evolved and gotten better over the years, it's usually the one thing I like about most games immediately. A soundtrack that captures the gameplay and pacing correctly does a shit ton to enhance a game.

Surprised anyone hasn't said Dark Souls yet.

These are some pretty awesome pieces that play during boss battles.

There are a lot more that are just as good, but these are some of my personal favorites.

Boy I still like the old Chaos Gate soundtrack - nice and creepy for hunting Chaos.   It's a bit old (1998) so you may not have heard of it - Chaos Gate is  an isometric turn-based squad tactical game of Warhammer 40K - sort of like a WH40K X-COM.  Only not *quite* as good, alas.

Every Metal Gear Solid game. The Best Is Yet to Come is my favorite by far. Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee has some pretty neat music too.

A not very well known old RTS named Blackmoon Chronicles from 1999 that while average (despite some nice battle animations and scale) had an amazing high quality soundtrack (much better than the game actually was), here are three of the best ones, but the other were still very good.

I enjoy the soundtracks to many games and I'd find it impossible to name a favorite. That said, I'll share some tracks from Guilty Gear X2, since that game had a great soundtrack.
