Name: Jethro "Jay" Cunningham
Age: 14
Gender: Male
Bio: Jethro's lived a pretty quiet, almost routine life these past 6 months. The dead, while rather numerous, have also been no more dangerous than wild animals would be. Running and hiding has worked for him so far - after all, he's still alive, unlike his parents, his friends, and pretty much anyone he's ever known. However, food's running low, stuff's spoiling, and the things following him around seem to have changed somewhat. So he needs shelter. And, for the first time in a while, other people. But he keeps an optimistic outlook on life - after all, no matter how bad it gets, it could always be much, much worse. Jay divides his life into two parts - the pre-apocalypse, which he views as unimportant and not worth retelling due to its complete irrelevance to his current situation (in his own words, "I don't care about it, so why should you?"), and the post-apocalypse, which he considers both pertinent to his situation and valuable experience, as lacking as it is right now.
Personality: Jethro, his teenage angst sidelined by the fact that the world has effectively ended, is not a very emotional person, and frequently exhibits aberrant behavior, including a slight tendency toward manipulative behavior, amorality and selfishness. He has a utilitarian, yet also rather optimistic outlook - not that the world's gonna get better, because he's pretty sure it won't, but about his own capability to survive it. He is not asocial by any means, but the four and a half months of ceaseless running and hiding mean he is somewhat unused to company, although rather eager to fit in and find new people to both shield himself with and to get support from.
