Comatose Dwarf
« on: July 30, 2013, 12:04:44 am »

I have a dwarf child in the hospital, and she has been there for 2 years now, she is given food and water by the medical staff, and under job it says resting, but whenever I view wounds her body is unharmed and she registers as unconscious. She has a family, and wasn't attacked that I could find on the combat logs, she just walked onto a bench in the hospital and passed out. Very strange.

Just deconstruct the bed.

I got a similar problem, but it's the other way round. A marksdwarf with 4 red limbs left his hospital bed, although half of his body is "smashed open" with infections. I expect him to die soon.

Dwarves sometimes gets 'stuck' in bed and traction benches once they've healed enough. It usually seem to be from not having timely examination, but it's a bug, still, and fixed by deconstructing them ( check that they're fully healed up first! ).

I found out one of my dorfs was stuck in a traction bench for like 2 years. He was quite happy with his lot in life. Deconstructed it after getting the armor sorting machine done (it's so fun watching dorfs swarm five minecarts on the same track.)
