Rogue Trader, Hostile Acquisitions. +0.5 wgt, Rare, Perception tests made to notice a las shot made from a weapon equipped suffer a -20 penalty, reduces weapon damage by one point. It is one of those items we'd need to have clearance from the GM to get at game start.

5 (grapnel) + 5 (clip/drop harness) + 8 (micro-beads) + 10 (flak armor to best) + 2 (chrono) = 30 points

Ahhh, it's going on the list of attachments I want for my guns, it's a long list though lol, quite a bit I want to set my guns up for what we'll be doing with them.

Whisper Bolt : Rare
Melee Weapon Attachment :Plentiful
Motion Predictor : Very rare
Targeter : Rare
PhotoSight or Preysense Sight. : Very Rare

Then I have a list of modifications I wanna get if I ever the chance as well to enhance them.

I doubt I'll ever get it all but it's worth getting as many as I can, does anybody on our team have the Trade : Armor skill? Or the General and Intelligence aptitudes so they can take it cheap? It's needed to do weapon mods so if nobody has then one of us needs to save up for it. The mods will be useful to us.

We probably wont be able to get those until we make a name for ourselves. IF we make a name.

Well the melee weapon we probably can, it's Plentiful, but the rest would require a very lucky roll.

As for the mods, I need to check what classes aptitudes are so I can see  if anybody is set up to take it cheap otherwise I'll have to save up for it myself.

Forge World characters have Peer (Adeptus Mechanicus) and some technical training. Aside from meaning your backstory should include some kind of relation or contact with the church of the Omnissiah, it also means you have a better shot at getting good stuff as long as you survive. Focus on having your character survive the missions, then you can begin thinking about additional trinkets.

The stuff I'm after is to help me survive the missions, it all makes my character more effective in a fight which will keep me alive.

YOu get better equipment, after you live. Its like getting a promotion. You don't start off with the best gear, but if you work at it, you will slowly get better stuff.

I know, thats just my list so I know what stuff I'm working towards.

Hmmm GWG is the best to take the skill for weapon modding, he has intelligence but not general. None of the rest of us have any of them.



Anyway of your suggestions Caellath I prefer this one most of the 4.



5 (grapnel) + 10 (upgrade flak armour to Best) + 15 (whisper-bolt discharger) = 30 points ( I'm assuming it would upgrade my armor as well since it replaced the flak and thats crazy useful considering it weighs a tone. )

We should all be together anyway, we're to few and to new to be splitting up at the moment and the comms will be a lot easier to requisition later then the Whisper Bolt.

In addition, micro-beads are part of the equipment covert strike gives us bonuses to acquiring.

Yup, so it'll be pretty easy for us to get our hands on it later on where as the whisper bolt would be extremely difficult for us even with our contacts.

Btw is it 1 for the whole squad or 1 each with the bolt?

Upgrading the Flak Armour to Best doesn't upgrade your Stormtrooper Carapace unless the GM rules so since it is Specialist Equipment.

One whisper-bolt discharger for each squad member and they can be attached to Pistol or Basic Las weaponry. Since las weaponry emits a visible beam and a snapping or cracking noise when firing, the discharger supposedly suppresses the laser until it is almost invisible and muffles the sound down to a hiss or whisper .
