Well I need to get my hands on a suppressor and Melee weapon at the very least and both are common.

The rest of the stuff is going to be somewhat harder to get but if I can find it all I'll be able to decimate entire squads in seconds.

Choleric or Rebel are the only real fits for my character, given she's a fight it out never back down kind of offensive person.
First, both of those are more expensive, second you realise that's not the personality of your character but of the regiment leader?

I'll check the forgeworld and rough rider thing now but I don't think a mounted regiment is ever going to fit for a purely infantry character though, even if she has the skills a storm trooper's entire purpose is to act as the heavy infantry that smashes everything in it's path. Not to sit on the back of a mount.
Isn't that all the more in line with Rough Riders? That's basically what their job is. Well, they can be specced for scouting, it kind of depends on what mount we go for.

When starting out you already have a small chance to gain items via logistics and augmetics usually have a rare availability (In turn making it harder to succeed with logistics rolls) unless they're shitty ones. It'd make it a bit easier, but not by a whole lot.
Limbs and a couple of others are Scarce, Average with Augmetics. That's not easy, exactly, but a step upward on availability for all implants is pretty nice.

A suppressor for a las-rifle? I don't really think that's possible, and I also don't think the decimating squad part is possible either, even once you start getting more experience.

I want to warn everyone beforehand, because this combat can be very brutal. If you're playing a newly made character, you CAN be knocked to extremely low health after a few las shots to the chest even if you're a Storm Trooper with more specialist training than the average guardsman. Just because the Storm Trooper description implies they're better trained, keep in mind that in practice you'll still be easily killed as same as everyone else in the party.

It might not be but it's handy if it is.

I'm still waiting for hand to buffer to check it, but rough riders are predominantly mounted forces. A storm trooper is not a mounted soldier.

I can't think of an instance of a lasgun suppressor, but there's always the whisperlas.
You might not be able to use that with a hotshot lasgun, though.

Strangely enough, training very rarely makes you bulletproof.
It might teach you to use cover, though.

Just to give you a basic idea of how easy you can die, let's assume you have a Stormtrooper with max starting wounds (17) who is getting shot at. Let's pick the most common weapon in the Imperial Guardsman armory, the M36 Lasgun. This does 1d10+3 damage (No penetration though, so if you have armor it will definitely help against Las) At minimum damage, it does 4 damage. At maximum, it does 13. On average it'll do 6-8 damage in most cases, which is enough to bring you almost halfway. That's JUST assuming they shoot you once, and not counting in the multiple hits you get with a successful semi/fully auto shot barrage.

It might not be but it's handy if it is.

I'm still waiting for hand to buffer to check it, but rough riders are predominantly mounted forces. A storm trooper is not a mounted soldier.
Again, think of Storm Trooper as not a rigid, concrete role. I think I finally found a good way to describe them, so think of them as a Commando type character. In terms of weapons, they can sort of operate a variety of weapons and be decent at them. You're not more powerful than the average player though (or average NPC, most fights WILL require teamwork or you'll just die.)

Storm Troopers are like the Imperiums medium-grade spec-ops.
Worse than Assassins or Space Marines, better than Guardsman Scouts or light infantry.
Oh, also they're the washouts from the Inquisition's secret meatshield-production program.

I do understand what they are but I'm building her as infantry, so if I'm in a mounted regiment I'm not going to be doing much since I'm gonna be miles behind everybody else since I'll dismount the moment we get into a fight and get left behind.
Mounted combat just does not in any way shape or form fit the character I'm designing.

I've got heavy armor luckily, plus dodge and stealth to help me with avoiding damage and 16 wound points. But I do know how weak characters are, kinda doesn't make sense considering by lore a normal las gun would need dozens of hits before it starts injuring somebody in carapace armor. But meh I won't be going rambo anyway.

Storm trooper carapace armor going on the typical lore is more then tough enough to withstand a standard las rifle for a fair few hits since the standard rifle is designed to be used in formation for massed firepower rather then individual power.

The whole "IG lasguns are flashlights" joke is only used in comparison to the other powerful forces in Warhammer 40k. A lasgun shooting at a Space Marine? Not going to do shit. A lasgun shooting at carapace armor? If it's a halfway decent shot, it'll still get some damage through. Not a whole lot, but damage will still get through.

I'm not sure you're super knowledgeable about the lore (I'm not claiming to be extremely knowledgeable myself), but you're sort of expecting too much from a Storm Trooper character.

EDIT: Again, I'd like to go back to the whole experience argument. As a Storm Trooper fresh out of training, you'd have GREAT training, much better than the low-ranking guardsman. But you don't have much experience in fighting yet. A veteran of the Imperial Guard is going to know more practical knowledge, he's going to know how to better work with what he has, he's going to know how to take down actual xeno threats (The shit they tell you in the guardsmen handbook is 80% propaganda), and he's going to know what to do when shit goes down.

Nah I don't really expect much, I'm just used to them being a little more superior to normal guardsmen then they are in these games.
Takes a little adjusting to get used to it.

And he's going to have friends outside his squad, which Storm Troopers tend to be rather bad at.

My storm trooper is built to be a lot more sociable then most. But I did find a simple fix for my characters general lack of anything resembling mounted ability.
We could use a mixed regiment that's predominantly rough riders but with a smaller force of shock troopers folded into it from a regiment that was decimated, or maybe Kasrkin then I can adapt my character to that instead. Either one fits my style.
Meaning you can still do the rough riders and all but it allows me to stick a bit more closely to what my character was designed for as well.

Don't worry I know my characters limits, I won't over react and get her killed.

It's more that normal soldiers tend to dislike Storm Troopers in general. Kind of like ODSTs and Spartans in Halo.

But I did find a simple fix for my characters general lack of anything resembling mounted ability.
What exactly is it about your character that makes them unsuited for cavalry, anyway?

We could use a mixed regiment that's predominantly rough riders but with a smaller force of shock troopers folded into it from a regiment that was decimated.
...Storm Troopers are all "folded in" from another regiment. There's only one regiment of Storm Troopers, and all of them come from the Schola Progenium.
