Whatever. Tau4life. Onager gauntlet laughs at your silly Baneblade and presuppositions of being bad in melee. Pulse rifles and storm of fire ignore your puny cardboard armor. Sniper drones and kroot make your heavy weapons teams so much dead weight.

Yeah, that was called the Damocles Gulf Crusade. Which accomplished nothing, since once we really started fighting, you couldn't accomplish anything(and we got all of those worlds back). Did I mention how we managed to take a heavily fortified Hive World from you recently? Or how a single Fire Warrior is worth a dozen Guardsmen at range? Perhaps that the Hammerhead is comparably tough, if not tougher, than the Leman Russ, whilst being more accurate? Our aerial superiority, something the Imperial Guard are used to having, might surprise you.

Face it. We fight orks all the time; Guardsmen are even easier, since they basically agree to fight at the range we want.

Anyway, in short, Railguns are better for insta-killing vehicles, but the Vanquisher gets more reliable penetrations at AP11 and up.

Plus, we have deep-striking 18"(9") Meltas. Do you?
