Those also match the fact that we have syn-skin armor, which is a nonreflective black.

One point, it's unlikely there would have been any IG regiments raised from the planet for most of its history, given it's a Forge World. If you change the references to well-equipped IG regiments to well-equipped PDF and a stream of high-quality equipment for other regiments, that would fit better. To explain the fact it has regiments now, there were hasty foundings when the planet was in the process of being lost, comprising surviving members of the PDF and significant numbers of surviving civilians.
I read in the lore that all worlds must send their tithe to the Imperial Guard and decided to apply it to this case. I did mostly mention the PDF but to break a little from the linearity, pointed out the Imperial Guard began to draw regiments of well-equipped soldiers from the world's PDF (didn't mean to imply they were raised for most of its history).

The IG's interest is of pivotal importance for easing the PDF vs Navy conflict later on, so I established that interest earlier. The population is also supposed to have been invested in the world's development and is one of the reasons why the trauma amidst the survivors of the catastrophe is so big.

And as far as the planet being lost, I'm still writing that part, but yes, mass conscription and hasty foundings is the reason I'm going to explain how we got to the 666th number.

No. The exact makeup of a tithe varies (for instance, Agriworlds usually need to pay in food), but that's irrelevant because Forge Worlds and Space Marine homeworlds are exempt from the tithe system. Forge Worlds do need to supply equipment, war machines and the like, but they don't need to provide manpower for the IG.

The IG's interest is of pivotal importance for easing the PDF vs Navy conflict later on, so I established that interest earlier.
The Mechanicus can play the same role, better even since they're basically essential for keeping the navy running.

Seems good.

Hence why I mentioned "breaking linearity". I do know Forge Worlds provide machinery and material instead of manpower (under command of the Mechanicus), but I didn't want the planet's forces to be complete newcomers to combat operations since the world trains drop troops, a type of regiment which is usually coveted due to its rarity. In such a case, the soldiers joining the IG would most likely be volunteers from the PDF, which goes well in hand with the explanation of few, but well-equipped regiments being raised and most of the population just going about its work or remaining in the PDF.

Of course, that does require a bit of adjustment on what was written so far.

The Mechanicus can play the same role, better even since they're basically essential for keeping the navy running..
That does make sense, but I wanted to play up on the importance found in drop troops taking their own air support with them and how in some instances the IG is willing to turn a blind eye towards a few things that are not supposed to work that way as long as it is benefitted. Like the case of the Ecclesiarchy fielding Sororitas due to the ban on maintaining "men under arms". It is a different case, but it is a display of how a few organizations are willing to bend or ignore the rules whenever it favors them.

That and the Mechanicus are a bit aloof.

No problem. It seems Friday nights are busy ones for most people, for that matter.

People seem to be half-dead, but I take it is the result of weekends.

Sorry, didn't update yesterday. Don't worry though, you'll have more freedom to do what you want in a little bit. Like literally, you'll be able to do whatever you want in the city until curfew. Then there will be more room to interact with each other, as opposed to just responding and interacting to my posts.

It's fine. In case the soldier tries to scamper away, I want to catch him before he escapes (for non-violent reasons).
