Appearance: Belensh is a model Guardsman in many ways, though perfect, certainly not. His hair is a dark gray, stained from the pollution of Volgar, and prematurely aged by stress and battlefield conditions. His skin is a dark gray-brown mix, leaning more brown on his face, arms, and neck, and his eyes are light brown, weary with experience and hardened from war. His arms and chest are well muscled, though he certainly has a healthy layer of fat. His legs are lean and strong from hard work and hard training, whilst his feet are large for a Volgarian. Thick fingers and muscular wrists, though poor depth perception and an uncharacteristic disregard for ranged weapons, typically the back-bone of the Guard, lend his strengths more towards melee combat than fire-fights. An iron will and eyes keen as hawks' mean he misses little; an excellent quality in any commander. His voice is deep and gruff, but carries well, and always has a tone of authority in it. Though he looks otherwise, Belensh is always impeccably hygenic, and both his gear and himself tend to be extremely clean. He carries one Las pistol on either thigh, with his family sword on his left hip and his specially commissioned Chainsword on his right. His Las Carbine is slung over his back and around his shoulder within easy reach, and his gear carried in his pack. Belensh's uniform is well-kept, and his flak-armor even more so, as it is some of the best in the galaxy. It's saved his life more than once...
Personality: Belensh is quite inflexible with his orders and the amount of discipline he expects from his squad. Especially with a Commissar around, he brooks no sloth or disopedience, but is also somewhat frustrated at the Commissar being there to circumvent his authority. This said, he is also nigh-fanatically loyal to the Imperium, and carries out the rules and regulations to the letter and the spirit alike. It is a calm day in the Warp when he voluntarily breaks them, save in times of utmost need. However, he is also quite faithful to his squad-mates out of principle, and is fearful of them performing incompetently. After all, should they perform badly, the Commissar performs his job...
Backstory: Belensh doesn't talk much about his past, though he's obviously experienced, and comes from a place of power or the like, to be Sergeant.
