Depends if we're still going for the stealth based commando idea or something else.

But if this is for the favored weapons we get one basic one heavy.

So I'd suggest some form of las rifle or carbine for basic and then either a plasma cannon or melta gun for heavy. If we're going behind enemy lines we need to carry the firepower with us to deal with anything we face, so we need something to smash fortified positions and armor.

Las weapons don't make much sound do they?

I kinda want my guy to have a melta, but it wouldn't make sense in context in stealth units imo. Some sort of powerful las carbine might make sense. Or a silenced rifle of some sort.

Well we need a melta or plasma gun, stealth won't stop us running into enemy tanks sometimes and we won't kill a tank with a carbine.

Well, preferred would be like the M16 for our military. You don't give every man an ATGM.
Would a triplex las carbine be possible?

No idea, depends how rare it is.

But it's supposed to be basic weapons really I think.

Six people. Why can't you guys just get creative when e come across a tank? Use magnets to fuck up a Hammerhead's railguns, jump on top of a Fire Prism and break your way in then drop a frag grenade, run away from the Land Raider at top speed?

How many points do we plan to give to extra equipment?

No idea.

I'd suggest we stop here, let the GM take what we've got and make it up then tell us how many points we've got left over to spend then we can decide.

Anyways, the bull pup seems to fit our needs, as it is between the size of the full las gun, and the mobility and all that good stuff of the carbine.
BUt against tanks Alex, we have a heavy weapons on the team, I am sure we will be fine.

We've got Forgeworld, Drop trooper, Choleric leader, Infiltrator training doctorine, Sharpshooter training, Covert strike special equipment, Best quality weapons, The Few, Lost Homeworld, Honour Bound and the bull pup favored weapon.

Let's leave it here until the GM totals all this up and we see what point's we've got left.

We can also take the sharpshooter training, for better accuracy.

Makes sesne to me, we want to be able to get in, open up and have what ever we are facing dead as soon as possible. We are infiltrators after all.
