Could you try, when you can, exploring to the southwest of where the marsh ducks are?
Bad place, don't go there. Ever.
^Exactly why you should.
It builds character! (it's also the best way to get rid of a noble)

The ducks steal cows so they can sell them off, right? It's kind of weird how they purposely live in an area where they can't sustain currency. But then again, no one else is adjusted to living there, so there's perks.

Or they just eat them.

Incidentally it's probably worth mentioning that the Orlanthi consider it fine to do occasional cattle raids on friendly clans (just so long as they don't escalate to violence). It's sort of like sending a sports team to compete, except, you know, they're stealing each other's cows.

Well, technically the violence is fine too. Can't just let people steal your cows.

Hell, the Orlanthi are perfectly alright with murder, so long as it is publicly announced and not directed at your own blood. Only kinstrife and secret murder are illegal.

I'm pretty sure Kinstrife is actually defined as murder within the clan. Which would be why clans outlaw people before they kill them.

Regular murder of other clan's people (when not raiding them) is also still punished, but punishment is directed at the clan in form of wergild, raids, or stuff like that.

These were easily the most painful 3 years so far.  :o

Not much else to say. Half of our ring is gone, we have no cattle or goods, Orlanth is a dick and our blessings do not matter..
Should our King die, the clan is fucked, as we have no other Orlanthi with high leadership. Hell, we have no other Orlanthi, which is total bullshit, as they are supposed to be the most common.

If you want the Orlanth and Aroka quest, I suggest you ask for it from someone who owes you a favor.

Well the king is guaranteed to return... He might not come back alive though, they only promised not to eat him.

For the Orlanth and Aroka quest, try sacrificing to Ernalda. Also, you may have noticed a black circle at the top of the text box while seeing the myth. Clicking that tends to reveal more details.

Also, you seem to have missed one prediction during the Sacred Time where Eurmal would curse you if you didn't replace half your ring members.

The predictions are a load of BS many times.. Mostly when they're positive. Eurmal replaced our ring for us, getting rid of half of it with random events.

I don't have ring members with anything even remotely close to "excellent" in too many aspects to start replacing people.

You cannot kill the clans. If you wipe them all out and take their land, they just move 5 inches on the map, and have hundreds of people again.
The clans replenish people at a ridiculous rate, and unless you raid them every season, you will not see a drop in the amount of defenders.

Then there are plenty of "Haha, you lose FUCK YOU" events, mostly related to non-humans. If you are too hostile to a race (for example : because your ancestors DEMAND it) they will eventually destroy your tula. No fighting, just a game over screen.
