Like it posted in the youtube comment sounds like you have werewolfs maybe.
On a side note can you ally with a beast tribe or do they always want to kill you.
I once got them to tolerate me in their lands. This only happened after I demanded 50 food tribute from the Not-Marsh Ducks. When I go for peace pacts, the Beastmen hate me.

I'm so happy with dragon pass, but I hate it so much for the "conquest"? Hahaha, go die, even if you win.
Yeah, this is why I stopped playing the one time I was doing really well. I had tons of cows, people, started taking land from my enemies no problem, but then everything just falls apart because of everything from your people deciding to splinter off despite having absolutely everything they could want to tribes which somehow get a shit ton of land on the opposite side of dragon pass and immediately begin raiding you again. Basically as soon as you do any major war you're fucked forever.

Yeah, Dragon Pass is a game which rewards diplomacy far more than it rewards warfare. Doing lots of fighting tends to get you killed, but trading and gaining allies is hugely beneficial. I found the best success in doing some raiding early on, often using it get a lot of extra land once I've gotten stronger. But then re-balancing to a peace clan later on and only raiding once every two years or so for the benefits to war magic.

Which in many ways makes total sense from a narrative sense but isn't reflected in the game.

Stworca, you get a sub for this glorious let's play of this old gem of a game.

I remember playing it when I was younger. It took me 15 minutes to go: "Fuck this, I'm out"  :P

I've played this game a LOT on my iPhone. It's a great port but watching this lets play shows me that quite a lot of information has been hidden in the handheld version. Still, my most succesful runs have been by focussing on crafting and getting trade partners. The trading markets will start happening more often, giving a huge boost to your goods and I think food and cows.

I've never allied with any of the non-human "tribes", and never met werewolves, as this is only my third game.
We'll deal with it as it comes, for now i plan on smashing the Fire Quartz in the following years.
A link to the second video is added to the OP, for those who didn't catch that one yet.

That's how both of my previous games ended  ;D Not after 15 minutes, but in the end it's always "Fuck this" or victory. There is no other way.

Earthblood also rewards you for warriors you lose defending, too.

I wonder if there's any way (in hex editing, even) to switch the short campaign into a long one  ::) Kind of regret picking the short one already (which is to say i have another video ready, already, but shan't upload it for a while)

010 seems to edit the opal file just fine, but i can't find the right variable.. Oh well.

Got around to watching the new episode. Not sure why you seem so down on the trickster so often, since he is clearly the best character in the game.

I remember one time when I started a game I had a trickster as the clan chief. I decided to just role with it since he was actually the best leader I had, and well... turns out there's some interesting things that can happen when your chief is a trickster. Though it did make for a very short lived game.

EDIT: Oh, and incidentally I recommend, exploring the valley just north of the dragonewt wilds, just over the second river branch.

Trickster got us the goods from the dragon, and then lost us cows repeatedly, and not a single time gave good advice  :P
He has his uses, and sometimes having a trickster is good, but you cannot deny that he's STILL a scumbag.

Episode 3 is uploaded, and i shall wait a tiny bit with recording the next one, to allow people to give me their input.
The Year of Fire Quartz was a peculiar one.. for many reasons.

I will say that there are quite a few aspects of the game that I honestly wonder about.

For example the Dark Ones and Dragons. Is there things you can do with them? Who knows

Interactions with non-clans are highly limited, in some cases to just random events that you cannot trigger or affect.

Any questions that i can answer, i will try to.
