Hence free training to level 2. It's costly but it means lower casualty rates for us and means even our newest members can take on the minor jobs with a relatively good chance of success.

My entire plan is based around long term gains from short term costs. If we send them out untrained on a mission let's say to fight goblins.
10 go out, 2-3 return. Off those 2-3 more will die in the next and maybe 1-2 max will survive to become experienced.

We send them out of the same mission with level 2 training to fight and better equipment because they had more to spend on arming themselves due to not paying for the training. 7-8 return alive, a few more die we still have 4-5 alive to become experienced.

Those experienced then take on higher paying higher difficulty jobs and we profit. We paid more in the short term to prepare them, they repay it in the long term completing jobs.

To plan a business you plan out the year ahead not a week.

Wrong.

10 go out, 2-3 return, we hire 7 more and again we have 10 adventurers + experience and loot brought by the survivors from the first wave. Than we send those ten and again 2-3 return we hire 7 more newbs...  Repeat

Or we send 10 out trained, 8 come back and we hire 2 more who have 8 blooded men to help them and they don't die and over time not only do we have far more experienced men we also have far more men as a whole because we're not losing them in droves.

We're human beings not insects we don't just throw lives away.

Yes we do. We're a wizard. Their puny lives mean nothing to us, save that we have to pay for burial.

My idea would be to waste the least amount of goblin fodder, actually, that's why I propose going with experienced adventurers first.

Anyway, I have a fourth option: mixed alternatives:
This means that we offer different things to experienced and unexperienced adventurers.

-Unexperienced adventurers get trained and have lower benefits that their more experienced counterparts, and also have to pay. We would be like an academy for them.
-Experienced ones get access to most facilities for free, but have to give us a big portion of their loot.

Hmmm that works.

Give me 20 minutes to eat and I'll adjust mine, I was considering the same thing. Like a ranking system with each rank giving increased benefits.

You were planning to have a 15 year old magical girl kill Witches by drinking them under the table!? It's original, at least.

I'd say that blooded and up deserve far better death benefits.
Also, they bought their equipment for their own money. Shouldn't adventures have a right to pass to anyone they desire by default?

First you argue for no benefits then you say it's to high so I lower the benefits and now you want higher benefits instead. Make up your damned mind.
But I intend to increase it once the guild has grown a bit.
As for the veterans, thats why it's equipment or equipment value. If they leave the equipment to somebody we pay the family it's value instead.

If we make benefits for higher ranks we may allow them to be much higher, because chances are that we will make some money until they complete the missons

We also alienate a lot of people who will not see any reason to risk death 3 times for us.
The current rewards mean it increases as the rank goes up, I'll increase those numbers as the guild grows to reflect it's prosperity, for now the guild is new so these numbers are ones we can sustain fairly easily.

Hmm, I like most of it, but I would lower the money we spend on advertising to 25g. I don't want to exceed our fixed income yet.
