Spinterz Dwarf Therapist - what do professions sort by?

What do the numbers in the "professions" column, mean, and thus what does sorting by it do?

Also the "roles" part of the mouseover basically gives you their compatibility with certain jobs based on their traits, right? I'm curious how the percentages are calculated, because they seem extremely high given how much traits vary by. Edit: Never mind, the answer to this one is yes. Still wondering about the first thing, though.

You should probably be asking this in the Modding forum, since you're more likely to get a meaningful answer there (and it doesn't really pertain to Dwarf Fortress gameplay).

It's the second or third most downloaded thing on DFFD and no one here knows? Hmm. Well, alright.

Each possible profession/labor has a number that correlates with it. My guess is that the profession number is taken directly from the DF raw data but it could also be a DT thing. I think the only people that could tell you for sure would be people that know most of the code of one or the other.
