Bucephalus heads over to the grey horse shouting at the demon lady. He towers over the puny half-breed.

"So, what's all this yelling about? Because she savaged a little girl? Please! I've started countless wars! Napoleon, the Great War, the bombings! Oh, right. They haven't happened yet." Bucephalus winks at Ophidia. (Can horses blink?) "Don't worry, our...kind has to stick up for each other."

If the other horse doesn't back off, spit out the boy's arm from earlier.

(Are you calling Ophidia a horse?)

(I'm calling us demons, because I eat children and regenerate in ungodly speed.)

"Try not to give them any spoiler alerts, huh? We're supposed to be vague about that." Ophidia said, elbowing the horse who was not a horse, in the side. She herself has never started a war, though she looked forward to trying one day. Not because she would enjoy it very much, but because sometimes people needed to go war, sometimes for reasons both good and bad. It wasn't hard to do, if one understood Human nature, as Ophidia's kind did so implicitly.

Sometimes people just needed to fight, and if Angels fear to tread...speak of Devils, and they'll appear.

She had no feelings toward Bucephalus either way, negative or positive. He was as much a slave to his nature as she was a slave to the one who had summoned and bound her to Earth for the task of the Joust. But, she has the thought that if given the choice, she would gladly go back. Bucephalus, likewise, would choose to enjoy his time here longer.

Bucephalus raises his eyebrow, (again, can horses do that?) and stares the demon in the eye.

"You think I was summoned? Please! I left on my own free will! I'm allowed to. I just kept a dummy there to keep you guys in check, been coming and going from Earth to there ever since I fell from heav-oops, spoiler!

Anyway, who summoned you again? And did you take his soul as you arrived? Because I don't believe in free summoning, unlike those stupid Communis-ahem, sorry.

((Actually, she didn't think you were summoned. She thinks you're a monster. And is alright with that. :P
Also, for everyone that's listening we're speaking in Demonic language. Which sounds like a thousand shrieking angels plummeting from heaven with their wings on fire.))

"It was a 'she' who summoned me. Some bitch who calls herself the 'Shadow Baroness'. Her real name is Mildred Fiddle. She did her homework, anyway-her incantations and protection circles were too strong for little me. So, I'm bound here by contract. It's not a preferable way to spend my time, but that's the story of my life..."

((A monster? Oh, you! And I just realized a while ago how many demons, ghosts and psychopaths there are. Then I realized this is Bay12.))

The other horse has already fled.

I leap to the defense of my ursine squire, focusing solely on defense with my shield and interpose between Grek and the enemy squire and knight whenever they attack him. Any attack on Ursus has to run a double gauntlet of passing my shieldery and his brawling. Also, neither side equipped yet, so if I have a no-armour malus, so does the other side.

Mk, let's see..

Pre-joust:
Limber up before the match, and see about having another poetry session when Triste gets back!

-Contingency: If I see any hooligans brawling in the stables or whatever quarters we knights share, attempt to arrest the aggressors! We aren't savages, and we knights need to stick together if we want to be civil! The thievery of last night did not go unnoticed! (there must be deplorable rapscallions about for them to have absconded with our picnic basket!) Also, send for help in such a case!

((You guys need to stop telegraphing your dubious intentions before you actually go to do them. PMs work as well.))

I guess we just expects other people to be fair play and assume their character don't know what they shouldn't know.

Actually, no. My entire plan revolved around turning this into as big of a clusterfuck fight as possible, so that my 9 Brawling Bearitude can be used to maul as many competitors as possible.

Hehe, I still think keeping it secret is better- reactions are genuine instead of recreated. In (nearly) all situations even the best actor can't truly replicate the real thing.

I'm making a note here: I included the 'send for help' in the last edit of my previous action.

In our case, you directly interacted with me, so I felt my action would make sense in RP.

Ophidia watched coyly as Hephaestion began to measure out her dress. Her luminous blue eyes glimmered with inner fire.

"...So, what can I call you by? Do you prefer your full name, or something sweeter?" She said.
