Dice will be a D10 with varying difficulties on what you are trying to do
you can die if you do stupid things which then a wait list person will take your codename and replace you on the team
I the GM will play your handler and will keep in contact with you through missions offering help.
The gameplay goes through these phasesPre heist/contract ( 1 turn ) - you may contact contacts and get wepons or info on jobs, you can spend cash on weapons, cars, safe house upgrades, weapon mods, bribes, info -- general sandboxy stuff
You get 3 actions due to only having 1 pre mission turn
heist/contract choosing Here you will be given a list of contracts you can take - or you can choose to heist a building of importance - What you do in the pre contract phase can effect what contracts you can take e.g. you have a very loyal contract who works for a large bank who gives you details on different banks in the area or will help you out with pass codes or other things.
you all need to agree on a contract.
pre Casing the place Once your contract has been chosen you will get 1 turn each to perform a action concerning the place you are about to heist for instance someone who has social skills can try to bribe or intimidate one of the guards to help you or another character can recon the place building up a map ( yes i will draw the map )
you also choose your equipment in this phase you can get
1 primary weapon:
1 secondary weapon:
1 extra weapon
3 gadgets:
Armour type: ( e.g. light Kevlar, suit )
preforming the heist/contract Casing phasethis is where you still have your masks off and are looking around trying to find the best point of entry and can use any information or advantages before you put on your masks and begin
also what Armour and weapons you are carrying can attract attention - if you walk into a bank with heavy Kevlar Armour and a m16 your going to have a bad time.
masking up once you have your mask on you are free to complete the mission how you see fit - note you can complete a heist without alerting the police in several different ways but its just how you play it and the luck of the rolls
late heist by this time you have gotten all the loot and either the cops have been alerted or not, Your handler will contact a driver to get you away from the place being robber
gotten away ? Some contracts can span several "days" ( yes im stealing from payday2
) so once you have completed one you will be thrown straight into another
once you have all gotten to the driver and gotten away from the robbery you then go back to pre heist/contract and can spend your cold earned cash
Completing contracts and other stuff can earn you contracts, underworld connections ( better contracts ) and police attention as well
extras masking up does not take a turn but you do need to bold it to let everyone know you are going in with your mask on and weapons out.
When planning a heist you can chose to bring on a specialist, this will be one of the people from the wait list and can help you out on that contract
you can talk to NPC's without having to use up a turn so NPC's will talk back to you and then once the conversation is finished how ever it has done the next turn will start - this also counts when buying items so not to waste a turn just to try buying items and you get everything you need.
Hostages are a vital asset if you fucked up !
If you ever feel like you team is to small you can buy people from the wait list to join the game and become part of your team.
