"We're going to the capitol of the N.U.S.A., they're the last people to smuggle for who aren't trying to kill me, it's further north into Woodland"
"Get your stuff and let's go, I'll wait in the lobby"

She leaves the room

You do exactly what she says.

Back at the lobby, she's waiting there for you
"There's a road that leads through an old abandoned town here"
Following her, several of the starving people on the street give you strange looks, when you remember you never ate the chocolate in Rena's backpack, but, you remember, Rena didn't eat last night either, and you'd like to have some chocolate also, but it's to small to split.

Don't do anything. Being neutral is the best course of action here.

*She was going to understand if you gave the kid the chocolate, she wouldn't have minded, just sayin'.

You choose not to bring up the chocolate to her or anyone around here.

Outside the town, you and her walk along a peaceful dirt road.
On the side of the road there is an overgrown sign that says welcome to the town of Blackbird
The sight here is much better, considering that there's no children here that are starving.

As you continue walking you can see several starving children, and some have even starved and are being buried in the middle of the dirt road.
It's way earlier in the post, but yeah there are starving childrens the town, but I don't think you were referring to that early anyway.

Anyway, no, I didn't say children in the food post

Cutscene time

"Through here"
She points toward a large abandoned inn, "it's a shortcut through town, I use it all the time"
You enter first, and upon entering the room, you feel a tremendous burst of pain in your back, and you fall to the ground, realizing you've been stabbed in the back by a man behind the door, more Scavengers. Rena pulls out her crossbow and shoots him, but four more appear from the doorway. Your vision goes black and you're now unconscious, when you wake up...

Suddenly your eyes open and you're laying underneath a rock overhang, Your stab wound is bandaged and there is a warm fire next to you. Rena appears to be sleeping, but she looks like she got injured too, though not as bad as you were, most notably a bandage on her wrist, blood running from her nose, and several bruises. Next to her is all of her stuff, but you can't see yours anywhere, she probably had to leave it behind in order to get you here though.

You can see that it is night and it has stopped raining, and what you're laying on is just cold stone, not exactly comfortable.
