That was all sorts of fun, I gotta say my favorite ship is the galleon due to the wide assortment of heavy weapons it can bring to bear .

Actually, I might try piloting again with a galleon, since I'm pretty sure I can pilot one correctly(hint, you don't fly straight at your enemies, bvut a t an angle to bring your guns around at a medium distance)

I guess I can't play at all during the day. I was disconnected multiple times the second game I was playing and figured an AI would be better than me. Sorry Tryrar and crew. Maybe I can catch you guys during the AM when the servers seem to like me better.

Probably, my laptop is pretty dinky and it runs it at around 20-30 FPS. Can you post your system specs?

I was actually running a carronade goldfish the other night. It really is beautifully fun. I had impact bumpers, so what I'd do was sink them and then just sit on top of them till they died. It was hilarious.

I've been looking at this:

It explains a few things; such as why the Pyramidion is so hard to take down. it has the SMALLEST profile of all ships (including the Squid) while having the 2nd highest total health. I've read elsewhere that the balloon is partially covered by hull armor, which makes things a bit trickier.

Also the Spire has really bad stats, but really good guns. That ship should never, ever get into close combat

But it's got really good guns. It can effectively get into close combat by simply disabling the enemies guns, something it is very very good at.

Plus I've won several matches with Spire rams, heheh.

But it's actually an effective ship for closing with powerful weapons, but you need to keep the pressure on. What you REALLY don't want with a spire is to be facing two enemy ships at the same time.

Also, those numbers don't seem 100% accurate...

But it's very hard to get away from a spire, and very hard to recover from a spire assault if it's keeping the pressure on. It actually excels at many maps in tight corridors - sure, it's squishy, but run into any ship but a galleon in the canyons and it's probably not going to be the spire who's weapons go down first... And it can turn fast, making it hard to get a jump on.

I don't really like Spire. Sure it has nice weapons, but it's not enough armored imo, so it can't really take advantage of it. Though, I'm not a pilot, so that's a gunner/engi feels.
