I was thinking recently about the Suggestion Game Idea Repository, and I decided to start a similar thread for World Building. The idea here is to give worlds for people to use, so please don't get mad about people stealing your ideas, unless you specifically say not to use it.
A world can be as in depth or simple as you like, and as focused as you like. It could be a brief summary of the world at large, or it could an exhaustive, expansive narrative about a single village.

To begin: A world where the Ice Age never ended, and humanity lives under the constant blanket of permafrost. Major civilization never formed, and animals like the Wooly Mammoth and the Sabre Tooth Tiger still roam the lands.

PTW. I would contribute my own but it has many many secrets that could be inferred from any detailed description. Which would be annoying as I'm using it for a forum game.

I do recall one idea of mine that never got used and I still think is a bit interesting. I suppose I'll contribute that. Namely, the One Corner of the World.

An endless beach stretching infinitely in two directions with objects of interest - marinas, rocks, bars, hotels, boardwalks and similar things scattered haphazardly near it. Beyond that lies a wide, strip of perilous jungle full of treasure and ancient ruins. Beyond the width of jungle there are hills that transition into passable mountains that soon become infinitely tall and impossible to traverse. All are infinite in length, but finite in width. The only bit of uncertainty is the sea, which very few can explore without going mad.

It is known as the One Corner of the World among its residents, who are definitely a strange bunch.

I might elaborate on this a bit later.
