On the one hand, I really wanted the real creators to finally make a real followup to UQM, but this way a followup might actually eventually happen? I don't know. Wait and see I guess.

It's rare one of those meme things make me laugh, good job.

I hope they take the star control concept and setting but evolve the gameplay significantly. Specifically I am not a huge fan of the mineral collection minigame of the original/remake.

I'm rather optimistic on this one since what is missing in stardock games,imo, is a good setting. All of their other titles have generic and boring backdrops, and in this case they have a good one to work with. They better get some good writers for the alien conversations though, it's 90% of the original game's fun factor.
