"Um... n-no... er... l-l-like wh-what you t-talked about... w-w-with the... c-c-cutting out of h-hearts..." Selina gulps a bit, hoping she hadn't been offensive by saying undead.

((All right. We can say that given that we timeskip led at least a month ahead since Jason got confronted, he got locked in a cell for that month and is now on parole?))

"Oh. That. We aren't undead. Being undead is entirely different."

"Oh... um... s-sorry... d-do you have a... um... d-different definition...?" Selina is slightly worried that she upset Victoria more than she seemed to have been today.

A cage somewhere in the bowels of the school trembles.
It's a dull green orb, floating a few fet off the ground, and has sigils of arcane power flowing all over it.
THE floats up to it and utters a phrase of some sort. It's clearly an activation ritual, as soon a line traces its way down the center of the orb. It cracks open and dissolves, dropping Jason out.

You have been released from your cell and are now on parole, Jason. This means two things: One, that you will not be able to use your magic on anyone for one full year. Two, you will be monitored by me. If you show signs of relapsing into the crime that got you imprisoned, I will restrain you and may reimprison you depending on the sevrity of your offence. Beyond that, you are free to go as you please. Do you understand these terms?

"We're called Slayers, undead are usually just people stuffed back into their corpses with necromancy, apparently it's really uncomfortable. As for the hearts thing, well, shells are expendable so I guess people got a bit carried away, I mean, when your entire existence is based around killing people and are associated with magic that requires sacrifice, often self-sacrifice, you can't really be expected to care too much about such things. I think someone just decided that it would be amusing to literally give someone their heart and that just caught on with everyone else."

_{"...S-sorry... I d-d-didn't m-mean to... to offend you..."} Selina looks at the floor, ashamed and a bit afraid. She didn't bother correcting about what she had been asking clarification, especially with how ticked off Victoria seemed now.

"Is something the matter?"

"N-no... e-everythings o-o-okay..." Seeing her parents may have rattled her more than she let on.

"You didn't offend me, if that's what you're worried about. I just had some thoughts involving undeath that I feel embarrassed about remembering >______<"

Jason rubs his forehead lightly. He had a headache.

While I privately do not blame you for their murder, rules against it exist for a reason. Please do try to find alternatives in the event that you are forced into hostilities again.

A whirling sensation sets in, and THE and Jason are in the entrance hall of the academy.

I will return to my class now. Here is a list of classes for you; they had to be re-adjusted in the wake of your imprisonment, but it fits into the schedule anyhow. Do you require anything?
