"D-do you th-think you got it...?" Selina smiles at Angel happily.
((Bit of a ninja, there.))
"I think so. I might need some practice, though..."Angel headed away from Selina, thanking her for the lessons.
Angel then went and prepared to work on her Plan...
First, she practiced drawing. Using Selina's ability would be vital for getting components.
A flower: [86+31-25] It isn't very good. It's not bad, but it's not good.
A bird: [88+33-23] It's a bit better.
The castle: [30+34-22] Terrible. Angel discards it, throwing it out a window. It drifts through the void until someone decides to take it.
Selina: [3+36-20] Angel doesn't get halfway through before tearing it up. She pieces it back together with magic and finishes it, before taking a look at it and throwing it out the window as well.
A severed arm: [60+38-18] Not good at all. Angel crumples it up and tosses it under her bed.
Having practiced drawing, Angel moves on to her plans.
First, she would want something for next time she was without magic. A guardian, if you will.
A nine-foot-tall, slender construct made of enchanted white plastic. It is humanoid and its joints are all extendable, connected by chains. In the arms are hollow spaces, where weaponry could be added later if Angel felt like it. In the torso is a clump of living flesh, like a brain, which controls the whole thing. Add some enchantments to make it work, and bam! Guardian.
...If this sounds like Mannequin from the Slaughterhouse Nine, there's a reason.
First, make the components.
First, the hard plastic shells of the limbs, torso, and head would need to be made.
Left Leg: [55+144+58+18-50] The left leg is good.
Right Leg: [41+144+58+18-50] The right leg is good.
Left Arm: [95+144+58+18-50] The left arm is great, with lots of empty space. Angel has mastered plastic magic!
Right Arm: [96+144+58+18] The right arm is even better! It has a bunch of storage space, maybe more inside than out.
Torso: [43+144+58+18] The torso is great.
Head: [92+144+58+18] The head is excellent, looking almost human.
Nexty, these need to be enchanted. The enchantments add durability to the shells.
Legs: [48+144+58+36]
Arms: [66+144+58+36]
Torso: [81+144+58+36]
Head: [66+144+58+36]
These enchantments pass without incident.
Next, to make the chains to connect them.
First, Angel draws them.
[71+40-16] Chains are pretty simple, so she manages.
Second, she takes them out like Selina taught her.
[55+144+58+15-50] Angel succeeds.
Finally, the meaty stuff.
[27+40-16] A red scrawl, discarded out the window.
[69+40-16] This will do.
[2+144+58+15-50] Angel pulls out the meat, surprised at how easy new magic was for her.
Next, to turn the meaty stuff into a sort of brain like she needed to control the guardian.
[18+144+58+4-50] Angel turns it into a passable brain-like organ.
The second major step is to put all of it together. This would be...tricky. Angel rolled up her sleeves, using a little magic to help the process, but mostly built the thing with her own two hands. It felt...right to make new life this way.
[98+43]
The thing is put together, all of its components' chains dangling. Angel rests, pleased.
Angel next needs to enchant the big thing to work properly.
[82+142+12+71+40] The chains and joints now retract and move.
[52+142+12+71+40] The little organism in the chest now controls those movements. Or will, when it is given life.
[11+142+12+71+40] Life-support enchantments are created.
An idea Angel had pop into her head is implemented: Making the whole shebang shrink and retract into the right hand for easy storage.
[21+142+71+40+23-50] Success!
Finally...the big step. Angel would put life into this lifeless doll, making the lifeless hunk of musculoneural tissue in the cavity of the oversized, chain-made mannequin into a living organism, controlling it. If all worked as intended, it probably wouldn't really be sentient. It would be more like a dog, but Angel was willing to settle for that for her first creation.
[100 oh Shys'm damn it +142+71+5-50]
Something tells me that not all worked as intended.
Um...&%#@.
