Catherine shivers a bit.
"Ugh.. I feel like something horrible is about to happen."
She tries to shrug it off, and then just... decides to mess around with some illusions. [7 successes so far]

It does.. fine. A illusory mask, like one of the theater kinds. A smiling one, because honestly, Catherine doesn't frown, or at least she rarely does.

Lyle chuckles at the mask.
But then he stops, just a tad too quickly.
THAT FUCKING PUPPET...

Catherine giggles a bit, and then wonders what to do next. One idea comes to mind.
"Hmm... I'm gonna need some more practice if I'm supposed to get a good grasp of this.. Hehehe... That sounds like a good idea."

"Yes indeed. Practicing Illusions.... Ooohh..."
She does the sort of ghosty Oooh thing, before ending her maintenance of the mask, causing it to fade away.

[SOLDIER First]

"Oh no, I'm so scaaared!" /sarcasm

Not bad. Not bad at all.

[SOLDIER First]

Darnos then shamelessly tries out his new magic on Lyle, trying to make him more afraid.

Catherine seems surprised that only now she noticed Darnos.
"Oh hey there, Darnos! Hmm... Let's see..."
She focuses a bit, and then...

There are two handpuppets now. One of Lyle, and the other of Darnos.
"That looks like a nice imitation, if I do say so myself."

Lyle is more afraid.
"S-so, um, what kind o-of magic did you l-learn?"

Upon seeing the puppets, Lyle begins shaking visibly.

It works perfectly. Except the happiness suddenly turns into bitter pain and fatalistic despair. Victoria begins frantically sobbing and whilst still sleeping, hugs Selina tightly as her hopes and dreams were cruelly ripped apart and replaced with the crushing oppression of reality.

Victoria wakes up and happily hugs Selina, showing not a single vestige of her previous feelings. The leaking emotions turn back into love and happiness.

Selina hugs back tightly, but seeing the reaction from Victoria, fills her mind with all of the dreams tenfold again, making it seem as if it were just Victoria herself making them. Selina holds her tightly, hoping that she had not hurt Victoria with trying to make her happier...
