It is, but this way is more efficient both in time and in resources.
It is also satisfying on a personal level to me.

Not particularly. Using him as a proxy for the entities that are the reason I am here is both satisfying and gives me hope that I may one day return to my home dimension and pay recompense.

If he were left unchecked he would never proceed to an afterlife, as upon body death he would transfer his soul into the closest body available. He would thus continue killing indefinetely.

I believe you discussed this with him earlier and said that you and your organization would not be in conflict with him due to him not actually being immortal.
In any event, it is a nonissue - the new Darnos will function as a servile entity that is bound by a specific set of moral codes I have inserted into him, the foremost of which is to never harm another being.

He does not exist anymore as a person, so he cannot be given control. Fundamentally, I have killed Darnos, which would normally violate my contract, but he is still technically alive, therfore I have not.

THE seems pleased by the tidiness of this.

"So sort of like what happened to me? Except involuntary and permanent?" Victoria seems quite saddened by the loss of Darnos.
